This mod is based on Tryarch's built-in Zombie Co-Op / Survival Mode for the game Call of Duty - World at War, released in November, 2008.
However, instead of having a maximum of only - 4 - players as seen in the Co-Op Modes of the game, 'The Rising' Mod was constructed around the Multiplayer aspect of the game, allowing up to 20 players at one time, fending off hordes of zombies.

- Here is a little back ground into the mod: Obscurity is a Call of Duty 4 modification created by Falcar and Snakelet. The original concept was based on the classic movie, Predator. We wanted to pit a squad of marines against an alien being with advanced technologies that was capable of being a one man army. - Just put up a new server getting as close to COD2 Area 51 settings as I can. Gamespeed is faster, gravity is lower, unlimited ammo, magazines hold more and so on. Starting as a 10 man server with stock maps so download will be small. Hope to see you in there. IP is 68.232.177.241:28960

- Come check out the newest COD2 sever we have, its the same mod style as the DM server, but with a female character added. If you ever get 7 kills in a row on that server you will use your binoculars and hit the use key, this will bring you into a gunship that will fly around the map that you will be able to shoot from. Here is how its going to work:
We are going to have rounds of 10 people play for 30 mins on a map, after the 30 min match is done the top 3 scores(including ties) will move on to the next round. After all the 10 person rounds are done, all the people who advanced will play 1 match for 45 mins and the top 5 scores(including ties) from that match .... [More]
