500 Internal server error on a Windows 2008 server running IIS7 and PHP version 5.2 when using PHP function getimagesize

Unsure of the cause and it doesn't seem to throw a catchable error. The function works in other areas of the website.

Cross compiling some C++ to an embedded linux platform... (Zedboard = hardware + software platform)  the libraries that handle the I2C bus crash if any of the GPIO libs have been used. The processor just hangs....  WHY?!?

----

In all seriousness, I think recovering data from a bad HDD is by far the most recurring computer problem.

Hi Cobra. I have a SSD with my OS  on it and a 1 TB HD for my games etc. Do I need Windows on both drives, probably not. But when I try to delete it on the HD, it won't allow me to, even as an administrator. I think because of the OS being on both drives that's  where my problem is. When I start COD4 or WAW, my game load starts slow but acceptable( Xfire ) for the first part, then stops at about 10 sec left and starts the second part at a ridiculous 1.5 hr. speed. (10 KB per sec. ) To stop the download I have to push, Ctrl+Alt+Del which gives me the Task Manager screen in what appears to be default resolution and I push End Process,  it  goes back to the  download screen, then I push the Windows key which gives me the Task Manager screen at the proper resolution and push End Process and it stops the process. I then start the game download and it loads the second part OK. If I try to use the Windows Key without going through the first Ctrl+Alt+Del routine, nothing happens. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Compared to these guy's  mine is easy.... My Hard Drive is getting on quite a bit and I intend to replace it before its too late what is the easiest way to transfer data from the old one to the new one.

Is there a way I can just copy everything from one to the other or should I start from scratch with a clean install

This just came to mind. How about a library of failing HD sounds ?? I can not think there would be to many of them ? I know its what most of us listen to to solve a problem .

Seriously Cobra what would be really nice is a list of programs and sites to aid in the maintenance of personal pcs'. I would also like to see a professional but layman article where you compare virus protection and the ratings and how they get their ratings! I have a feeling the suggestions to this point are way beyond what most layman owners will have any skill at taking care of. I would keep it simple and as short as you can but be prepared for further questions. It might be nice to do a writing on a particular subject and a question and answer section as well! Just a few for example. Good luck in this endeavor!

your problem is fairly easy just copy all ur programs and files u want to send over to new hdd in folder maybe call it something like back up or something then transfer that folder over to the new hdd ...simple enough...so you dont have to install from scratch..but keep in mind some program softwares may have to be cleanly installed on new hdd to work properly...its trial and error kinda thing to figure out which ones will and which ones not...
