I highly doubt this would have been deliberate while knowing what kind of plane it was. Keep in mind the US Navy, with its advanced weapons and tracking systems, once shot down an Airbus. One of the rebel units tweeted a picture of a captured BUK-M1 missile system last month, then deleted their tweet just today. Now they're trying to deny that they have this technology even though they've shot down a number of Ukraine military aircraft with them over the last few weeks.
