I was told my video just wasn't good enough yet there was a debate among the admins about it and was told in the end that because the sound wasn't the best that it wasn't usable. The one I presented in fact didn't need sound to see the obvious cheating! Just food for thought of how we feel when the vids we take are discarded yet shows the obvious offense! I find it very tough to even want to video ever again! Maybe with some time and effort I may do it again but right now I don't think so! I do in fact respect the head admin that told me this about my video! Yet was very hurt by this response! So yes I know how you feel my friend! BUT, what you are absolutely certain is hacking won't always be clear in the video, or the admin team may not agree with your opinion. Admins can and do make decisions without the approval of the head admins, so don't automatically assume that your video has been shared with the entire admin team for that server. Posting on the forums about how you think the admins should be doing their job won't help matters. Yes, "part" of the admins job is to police the servers for hackers, and another part of our job is to tell people who scream "hacker" every time a player beats them to STFU and be patient. If somebody is hacking we'll eventually get them, regardless if you feel we're doing our job quickly enough or not. To add to his post, accusing us of not doing our job is offensive. Catching hackers isn't always black and white as people seem to think. Admins dont always communicate, but we do the best we can do. We cwnt watch everyone all the time which is why ask players to watch people too. While I can't speak to your video since I haven't seen it, xfire videos tend to be of poor quality so a cheat may not always be obvious. Just because people are accused of hacking doesn't always mean they cheat. Some are just better players. I've had plenty of players ask me to watch videos and I don't see anything. Doesnt mean you should stop watching for hackers . If an admin doesnt agree with your accusation, don't get your panties in a wad. There are plenty of players the admins think are cheating, but we need definitive proof. If you don'agree with an admin's opinion, try another admin. There is a little back and forth in the admin section about your video, there are definitely a couple things there that are very fishy but others are explainable. I personally have never accused an admin of not doing their job but if you just think for a bit as to how it feels when we spend hour upon hours spectating and recording til we get what one admin tells you is good enough to have a head admin tell you it just didn't make the grade. That is why I personally am having a very hard time with assisting recording anymore. I loved the server I did this for and that made me feel alienated from the server. Then to read you saying you are offended when someone questions you? What is the number one thing we say when someone comes here? Leave your sensitive feelings at the door. The reason he questioned you was first he had not heard back whether you or any other admin needed anything else and was it the evidence they needed. One of the admins should have responded in kind by alerting him what they were doing and approximately how long to expect any follow up on the video. The respect thing goes both ways and Yes I understand you have a life out side of here too but if you thought for a moment what might have caused the post you would have been a lot better off. I been here for many many years and the admins use to communicate with us when things like this came up. That way we were kept in the loop about the outcome regardless it's better than no response! I am not responding to this as a slap in your face but to let you know Dayton did say in his original post why he was posting. If you get upset at someone questioning you about the kind of job you are doing then maybe you should examine why? With the attitude you are offended you will get little or no help from us laymen when the help is needed. Just saying! Have a good day!
