Putting this up now so you get a heads up that I will be going soon and I haven't just disappeared from the face of the earth. This isn't me hanging up my tags or anything, just letting you all know what's hapening. I will still be on the servers every saturday and sunday from here till the 13th September (when I leave). I'll try my best to keep in touch with you guys through xfire. You should look into if your uni does an MComp course. Essentially you do the first three years as normal but don't graduate straight away, you then do a fourth year for your Masters but it counts as undergraduate study. You can get student finance to pay for it as its undergraduate rather than graduate study and you end up with an MComp rather than a BSc. Iv'e seen quite allot of the content of your course as some of the modules are shared with mine, Maths/Operating Systems/Networking/Graphics etc. Really good course. I just finished college doing a very similar course and came out with high grades so I am sure I will so well at uni. After spending 2 years doing a computing course and then another 2 at the games development one, I have a pool of knowledge to take with me. I have told them in the past that it is different here but they ignore that. If someone in the UK told me I was 'going back to school' I would think they were being sarcastic or rude. Finishing college in the UK is equivalent to finishing senior year at high school in the US. Then our university is equivalent to their college. But where is the US university? well it seems that's only used for when someone is post-graduate studying at a college. Essentially though they refer to everything as school.
