In our constant attempt to revive this game, our community is supporting and promoting the relaunch of Crysis Wars with an ESL-sponsored tournament, powered by CryServ Network that will take place at the end of September

Here we go again, Crysis Wars made its way back to ESL!

Starting Saturday, September 20th a 3 vs. 3 Power Struggle Tournament will take place in servers powered by CryServ Network

The tournament is divided in two stages - group stage and playoffs - and allows up to 16 teams (of 3 players each). The final prize for the wining team is 75 Euros, amount that has been funded by the community.

In the initial state, 16 teams will play against each other in four groups of four. They will play one game per week across a period of three weeks, and the two best teams from each group are going to advance to the Single Elimination playoffs. Here, they will fight to reach the Grand Finale and fight for 1st place and prize.

Group stage:

Matchday #1:
Saturday, 20th September

Matchday #2: Saturday, 27th September

Matchday #3: Saturday, 4th October

In order to play, players first have to register/create an account with ESL board here >Player Registration then organize with friends, clan-mates, or other players, and create a 3-player group here > Team Registration  Once that's done, team will be able to register for the actual tournament here > Group Signup And All players need to enter their gameaccount Crysis Wars CryServ NickName Gameaccount .

Note: ESL Crysis Wars tournaments do not support 'EX mod' any longer. To be able to see, join, and play in ESL Crysis Wars servers for the tournament, players have to install CryServ Network (downloadable here)

In order to work properly, CryServ Network patch must to be the only one installed in a system. The presence of third party mods of patches may hinder the overall functionality of Crysis Wars, disrupt CSN installation, and generally hinder its in-game functionality and stability. As well, this may induce game crashes.

Prior installing CSN, make sure there is a folder called /Mods under Crysis Wars installation path in your system.
CSN must be installed in Crysis Wars path. CSN installer uses C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars as a default path. If you use installed Crysis Wars through Steam, make sure to select Custom Installation and provide CSN with the actual path where you have the game.

If the installation of third party mods or patches prevents CryServ Network to be installed, you will have to uninstall them, along with the game and reinstall Game, official Crytek patch 1.5, and CSN, in this order.

We have finally reached an agreement with TITAN, and once the beta phase is concluded, SSM and CSN server files will be released to the public for free.

We need to revamp people's interest for Crysis Wars, which sudden death was caused by GameSpy shut down. This ESL tournament is a semi-official attempt to revive a game that still has so much to offer.

Everyone can join and play, there aren't any application fees or cost, and the final prize is almost 100 bucks. A successful tournament will give Crysis Wars and all the teams, clans, and communities involved a lot of exposure, which is in my view a win-win scenario ;)
