My question is this...Is it possible to periodically have an admin look up and post who these people are? What I mean by that, is post a list of the names that the same player is using based on their GUID? The only reason I ask, is that those of us that are members use the same name all the time...and let's face it...we all use similar strategies most of the time...meaning that I know where to look for certain players on certain maps after they have killed me....but when someone changes their name all the time...that may not always be the case. I just wasn't sure how difficult, or even how realistic it would be to obtain and post such information..so I thought I would throw it out here for discussion to see what others thought...and if there is an admin that sees this....if this is even possible to do. I know we all make bets at game time and etc, I was told that like last year when I won a bet and someone lost...it was ok as long as didn't have XI tags on the end. I could be wrong. I know my kid plays under my GUID. I really don't see the point in listing names and such, just be another bother to the admins. That said im pretty confident it won't be implemented. People can play anonymously, even clan members can do this provided our tags are not used with the alter alias. Also making a type of register like that makes it seem they are doing something wrong, which they are not. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way but it could come across that way. It's hilarious to hear people say "boom boom is here", "no its everyone", "guys everyone is in our spawn". This amuses me, aaah the little pleasures of life. Other times I change my name to another non-XI player's nickname so it confuses the heck out of the other team. I changed it to Cute|boobies once and I went radio silent. To come back at your question Tron we can see through the portal exactly who is playing with which name, but to make it public would be soo much work because there are a lot of persons in xi server playing with a variety of names. We as admins go undercover for various reasons also with different names, i change my spec name regularly also. So it is not really possible to give out all the names. If you ever have any questions about certain names just hit up an admin and we will check out for you whether or not it is a regular player or a new players. But what you may consider funny the other player may not ..like I said it's not cool to use another players name..We do not tolerate name changers ... It disrupts the game .. And I'm not going try and figure out if it's joke or a name changer ..I hope this clarifies it.. And as far as someone using the same name rarely happens , We talking about people changing there name to another player during a game..
