If the game is installed through steam or under another disc and folder you need to install CSN choosing Custom settings and provide the tool with the correct path of the game. CSN, aka CrysisServ Network, which is the connect tool needed to see and join Crysis Wars servers that replaces gamespy in all its intents and purposes. In order to play Crysis Wars now you need to install the game (possibly under C:\Program Files (x86)), install the patch 1.5, install CSN and start the game by any of the 4 links that CSN will creates on your desktop upon completing its installation. You can download CSN here >> http://cryserv.de/en/downloads/cryserv-client/ The game has been discontinued and is not supported by the manufacturer. You would be in effect buying a product that does not work. Torrent it if possible or get someone else who has installed it to give you the files. That patch will modify your Crysis Wars installation and install EX mod, and that is not what you need to play in XI servers, which are powered by CSN (CryServ Network) and not germancrysis. If you already installed german crysis patch CSN will not work, and you'll need to uninstall and reinstall Crysis Wars in order to remove it, because that patch modifies both the game .pak files and its executables and cannot be removed without compromising the game. If that's the case do the following: Uninstall and reinstall Crysis Wars, install the official patch 1.5, and install CSN client latest version (1003) from the link attached below. Choose custom installation and CSN installer will ask you to locate the same path where you installed Crysis Wars. Finish the installation, run the game from any of the 4 links CSN will have created in your desktop and click on multiplayer game. Just tried to log on to internet game and it is asking me for a Gamespy login etc, i tried bypassing that and just log in to a server but keep getting connection failed, thought we weren't going to get Gamespy with this cryserv thing installed?....where did i go wrong. Install Crysis wars, then Crysis patch 1.5 and then patch 1.03 found here http://cryserv.de/en/downloads/ When game has loaded type join space the the number EX join 18. Now i really am confused, i only see the 1003 in that link where will i get 1002?, i have reinstalled game and Patch 1.5 and will wait and see what else i need to do or download, for instance do i need more than the 1.5 patch? Also, installing the game and then directly the 1.5 patch is all that's needed before installing CSN - no 1.3 patch or earlier versions are needed.Also, make sure you DO NOT have any third party mod, connect tool, or patches already installed or CSN may not load/work correctly. For instance, many players tried germancrysis patch, which once installed will prevent CSN to work properly. That patch cannot simply be removed because it modifies the game files - the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall the game.If something went wrong to keep tinkering will only create more issues.
