After every map, I lose connection with the helpful "something went wrong" error message. I have to wait until BF4 transitions back to the battlelog screen then reconnect to the server to load the current map. This often means that games have been in progress for five or more minutes before I can get into them. After a little bit of research via Google, I find that this is a common problem; even console players suffer something similar! It is also over six months old without a fix. However, it may be connected to the Firefox Battlelog Game Launcher plug-in. I checked the settings for that and saw it was not set to run always so I've set it to do so. I hope this fixes things and shall report back. I have read many "it may be this or that" type of messages, obviously authored by the speculative and clueless rather than the knowledgeable but, should anyone encounter an official EA/DICE word on this widespread problem, I'd be grateful if they could post a link to it in a reply here. If you are talking about the True Hardcore server, the maps are changed regularly, in fact last week when we got the new server Smurfy put them all in and asked us what we wanted, Edd is always asking us what maps we want changing. I did a repair of the game within Origin and was then able to load the next map without disconnection so it looks hopeful. PAIN IN THE ASS. Same here. I end up hitting alt F4 and not playing. Sometimes I cba to play after that happens. I don't even get a Bf4 error or anything it just freezes. Occasional Punkbuster kicks persuaded me to update that. I found I was running a version from November 2013! The immediate result was that I couldn't even get into the games - every time I connected to a server, I was kicked by PB again! So, I repaired the game and the PB kicks seem to have stopped for the time being. The disconnections between maps have not - it is still rare for me to be able to play without a return to the battlelog to reconnect. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... WTF does that mean?! Yes, I left the server but not voluntarily and no Admins were involved in my eviction. Updating Punkbuster, by the way, just seems to have made matters worse!
