Med bag changes (the big ones)

-No longer heals players in radius when supressed. No longer works when diving/underwater Ready system fixes

 

From CTE team play initiative.

 

So now everyone is going to run around with LMGs because it's so "pro" to do so. This discourages team play that is already extremely lacking in non-infantry maps. I'll be going back to BF3 if this goes live with the FS maps.

Edit: I've played on different servers and it's almost already about 2/3 support/LMG. You'll see less and less assault players and a majority will be flocking to Support just for this.

Lets not forget the damg model changes that pushed many people use LMGs as well.  Those things are rampant everywhere.  TBH I have noticed a decrease in Carbine usability.  I used to be able to kill 2 enemies, 3 if they are low health, with 1 magazine of a Carbine.  Now I am lucky to kill 2.  Where as a LMG user has enough rounds to be able to easily take out 2-3 or more.

Exactly and not only that but if close enough will cause suppression. You already have enough lone wolves running around hosing everything down. I've been practicing on getting the two-three kills with the AEK/scar and some under used weapons like Aug a3 but I have to plan and properly flank with a squad. I haven't really used a carbine except acw-r and cqb still can get me out of trouble at times but this will definitely cause less and less usage and does not promote team play what-so-ever.

 

Ever play locker with a bipod pro on the outside with an acog? He can practically hold that down on his own without additional support for the most part if this is implemented. You already don't see enough team play (medics in particular) on most maps so it is just going to further this problem.

the reason this happened was they listen and reacted to the whiners the few that did not like getting killed by certain weapons.instead of looking at the overall picture another DICE fail lol.they did that instead of actually fixing the game lol.they thought that would keep people bitching about the weapons instead of the real issues of the game lol

i will say this. The m60-E4 has pretty much turned into a full auto dmr, and ive definitely had an issue with the damage model since its rendered my favorite engineer weapon (AK-5C) basically useless :(

 

if this goes live ill continue to use assault but ill be way more careful! lol

Yeah ya'll are right Acucats and Odd. I feel the same way since the patch. There does seem to be a decrease in the weapon damage for the carbines an everyone is now going to support class to supplement the changes. I played one round of metro lastnight and you couldnt find a medic other than me, I play the class a lot because I am playing Battlefield for the team play, for squad play (but maybe thats just me), otherwise I'd just go play Call of Duty.

Developers should never give in to the whiners. Listen to what they have to say. Then do what you feel is best for the game. Not for them.

 

Unless of course the decision is to allow the whiners to run their own private servers and make their own changes so they are happy.

Sure in softcore I see the assault being less and less useful but in hardcore and classic you don't auto regen health, so people will be running to you left and right to get some health otherwise they wont last long. Also maybe your reading the notes wrong? the way it sounds to me, it will still heal you when suppressed but you will actually have to be touching the bag instead of within a certain radius of it. if that's the case I don't see it as such a big deal, only time will tell though.

I don't get the visual, but still know when some scrub is shooting 100+ rounds my way and has worst accuracy than a two year old and because "suppression is helping my team move forward."

 

Also suppression still affects gun play significantly.

Well look at HC, most server have to put a sniper limit because one set of weapons is completely overpowered compared to the others.

You only played with us once, found out you can't run around knifing at ridiculous speeds like in Cod5 and the Ace mod, got your arse handed to you and left and we have not seen you since, you have no idea how this game works at all lol.

So are these changes on the CTE yet? has anyone tried them if they are? how badly does it effect gameplay?
