Because we always have, COD4 is a very old game and we simply would not have a player base if we left things the same. Trying out new mods and setups is the reason that server is popular, if we left it alone and did not change things it would have the traffic similar of Freeztag Server 1, that mod has enough traffic to warrant a dedicated server however will not reach the levels it did when it was the 'new mod'.

 

We tried having previous versions of the MW2 mod on dedicated servers however they gained very little traffic, not enough to keep them going. 

 

Players hang around until they become bored of the mod then they will find somewhere else, members are here for the long haul so will undoubtedly notice change more and there will be players that joined XI because of a certain mod version that do not like the newer mods.

We change because some people cannot stand the mod, and some of them doenst want to know anything about the ACR. 

 

Our server and mod was fine before all this. Who even came up with the idear to say it was not ? and why ?

 

stupid thing is, its just 25% of the people that doenst like it, and it seems they have more things to say than the other 75%.
And the most funny thing about it is, that from the 25% that is saying all this crap, 15% is not even spending 1hourh per week in the freaking server.!!!

I mean mv2 two servers, the new and the old mod,

Ok, so if members are "here for the long haul", the "old mod" will only be old to our members, but appear new to others :) 

 

I also agree that the old mod was more fun.  Personally, I stopped playing as much because of the constant change of things, and the high pings.  I'm not trying to ruffle feathers nor am I unappreciative of the thousands of hours put into these mods, but a lot of times, it seems decisions are made without even asking players what they think.  I'll even bring up the ACR.  Did the majority of our player base decide to remove the ACR?  Or was it because a single or couple of COD admins thought it was too OP.  It seems a lot of times voices fall on deaf ears because it differs from the opinion of others. 

 

So, if we want members to be "here for the long haul", we should value their participation in our servers on the same level as guests and hear what they have to say in these forums.

The fn-scar isn't far off what the acr was in terms of accuracy and fire rate. Probably just a fraction more recoil.

 

I get p90'd from across the map sometimes whilst my fn-scar is trimming the hedge around my killer. It's all swings and roundabouts.

 

Acr or no acr, you're going to get shot, I don't see why it matter what gun it was that shot you.

That is correct the scarh is balanced correctly between power, recoil and all of that. Also ammo and mag counts. Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. The AK is more powerful but higher recoil etc etc etc. The problem is when you get a weapon with all of the strengths but no weakness whatsoever.

as i recall the admins never wanted the acr gone, certainly not me..... more complaints over the p90 and it sniperability then the acr back in the days.

Good idea, im there:) anyways, why 20 slots?  I personaly dont mind, but i guess theres alot of people who still wont be goin in there becuz of the 20 slots, I think most players will prefer the 30 slots.. I think this is gonna proof almost nothing about the gun it self,  but okay atleast i can have a bit of fun for a while :-)

I dont think this is the same version that was replaced with the NOACRMOD back in January/February earlier this year. This one has the random Mininuke Airstrikes, I think I remember someone saying there are other files that fixed these issues but were lost.

I would like to see the stat reports where you got your numbers. What i found is 85.75643% love what Sammy and duc have come up with and the rest dont count.

The airstrikes are not random per-se. But they choose random targets among the players.
