So, a few of the BF4 guys know I used to help admin an ARMA2 DayZ Overpoch server with some friends in my spare time, and their community owner has opened up an ARMA3 Epoch mod server. 

 

I've played on it a bit last night, and it's probably the smoothest encounter I've had with ARMA3 so far (Wasteland and Altis Life being desyncing and just sluggish).

 

If you guys would be interested in trying it out with me their community site is: s7gaming.com the front page has all the information on how to join. 

 

To install EPOCH, I'd just manually download it, extract the .zip, and put the @Epoch folder into the ARMA3 root folder. I used Arma3Launcher to join, I think it's made by the same people who made DayZLauncher.

 

 

any questions hit me up, we can try and get a large group together and just wreck shop, or just go nuts individually.

I might give the arma3 version a go. I like the arma2 but it's glitchy

I've only played a little, but this ARMA 3 mod is very smooth.

We were able to get about 3-4 XI members in last night. 

Remember, when to join Epoch, you have to install it, A3Launcher hasn't worked for me, or a couple others. 

Do it manually:

 

Download Epoch mod for ARMA3

Extract folder

Inside folder Epoch_0.2.5.1 there will be another folder called @Epoch

 

Copy @Epoch folder over to ARMA3 Root folder. 

 

You should be okay to join after that.

Donation was able to be put through today. We're getting 5k Krypto and 7-8 lock boxes. 

The money will be used to rebuild the group because that's the only way to get you guys to be able to build at the base. 

We're also being given a ton of black and purple paint for EMOHAUS.

 

But, be warned, we'll need to move, eventually, to a place that has solar panels or windmills so that our energy is always up for building or for use of items.

Just got the game a couple days ago and so far had a lot of fun just scavenging with everyone, but the most fun Ive had was yesterday when mouse, phoenix, and I decided to go on a road trip in order to look for a secure base. I learned alot along the way including the fact that you need cover but also open areas for your helicopters. Late last night phoenix, phud, and I decided on a nice mountain way up with a good amount of trees and flat areas for choppers. Its just another possibility but if anyone logs on I have an SUV which i stole from a couple of players after I shot them, and a hemmit thingy full of good shit on the mountain hidden in the trees. Feel free to use the SUV but don't take my hemtt!

 

Heres a nice crafting vid which shows how to build on uneven ground, we need mortar to make foundations, also pheonix you need to get get your atv, they climb hills really easily.

 

I def suggest playing it with us, its alot of fun and we are just beginning!

 

Location is circled on the map by the windmills, lets own this server!

We had a pretty decent battle against another team on the server today. It was pretty even for the most part. Seems they have a pretty huge base near ours and we are both established well so we have become an alliance with these members. They will protect our base when were in need and we have agreed to protect them when they are in need

 

We have also agreed that if someone kills someone from there team or they kill someone from our team that it will be taken care of and decided when both team speakers are on.

 

We have a pretty established base with quite a few lockboxes, we have a few people that know how to build bases but willing to take anyones advice.

No we don't have a sniper tower at our base yet, someone was mentioning that we should build one. maybe its time this weekend we did something like that and secure our base even more.

 For Saturday and Sunday, I will be only on for a short period of time each day and in those time periods I will be focusing my time with collecting material and items needed for fortifying our base and getting more resources of ammo. Hoping someone can stick to spending a lil more time working on the base. Looking at you O_neill or Sicarious as you both have the most experience for that. but we also have a great tutorial that mouselad wrote up so anyone really could work on fortifications of the base!
