By request we are trying the MW2 mod with a more up beat pace and trying a TDM style. Instead of staying frozen when dead, you'll respawn and have a chance to kill again right away. The round is set for 15 mins, the team with the most kills after 15 mins will win.

This server is also running the newest version of the MW2 mod so there might be a couple little bugs you run into, just post them here and we will get them fixed up

Test out the EMP nade emitter against cars. It doesnt disable but does slow them down by 1/2. Emitter time is 15 seconds and a bright flare is visible at the center. Useful in tight areas. Yes you are affected by your own EMP like flashbangs and frags.

 

Also, since a g3 style weapon hasnt been in the mod for awhile test out the sc2010. The saritch is a scarh replacement, which was balanced to be in between the M4(hk416) and the AK. There is no stock cod4 equivalent. Test the new steadycam for snipers. %30 sway compared to normal but also recoil reduced. Bigger rifles have greater sway/recoil reduction percentages compared to the wa2000 and m21. Standard rifle rounds so they will penetrate.

Forgot to add... for game balance steadycam damage is still reduced to the same as silenced rifles. As before.

Hey @@Sammy, are we supposed to be stood, exposed to knifing when we are in rc's missiles and smartbombs?

You mean the player clone thing? That is a setting that is enabled by default but will check. Up to the admins to decide whether or not to leave it that way. If not, I will leave it alone for now until the server is empty so as not to disrupt running matches with the 20 minute restart.

 

In the meantime, this is how it works in the other games so this is consistent with them.

Yeah the clone. Should we be suceptable to death while in an RC though? It sure doesnt work that way in freezetag

I updated the following settings to make the mod a bit more playable.

 

- g_gravity 300

- g_speed 250

- bg_fallDamageMinHeight 10000

- bg_fallDamageMaxHeight 10000

- jump_height 300

 

I enabled "anti-lag" to appease the high pinger for the moment as there were more of them playing it at the time.

As usual being in Australia I get 250+ ping. That said I play on Freeze Tag servers @ 270-300 ping and it plays well for me. 

On this server today I played a bit with the boys and could generally only hit stationary targets, or people moving directly away or at me. I found it almost impossible to hit targets moving sideways due to I'm assuming latency issues.

Some good things about this mod thats enjoyable though. Good alternative to Freeze tag.
