A very fun mod and a much better one if I do say so myself.

 

There are still config settings being worked on so dont hesitate to post ones that need to be changed. I already know about jump height and speed and both will be taken care of tomorrow.

Thanks Sammy this one is a really good upgrade. I would say have this as primary for a gew days so everyone can play on it and provide feedback.

In time there will be a beta4 because there are still a few things I am finishing up but I wanted to get it online now so people can play it and I can see how it works. So far I havent seen anything amiss other than config changes needed.

I havent seeen any bugs as of yet.

But the most people I've seen in the TDM server is 5.

as iboomboom says, maybe a stint on the ftag server would detect any problems

Something up with the ACOG on a couple of guns.Especially on the AK47,it looks really strange.I got an error off of it that crashed my client at the end of the round also.

 

The SMAW 2x doesn't have much splash dmg but has like zero flight time and flys as straight as the new Cross Bow.

Yes the smaw is balanced that way. Very accurate but less damage radius than an rpg. How does the ak acog sight look strange? Not sure what you mean. Its the same model as before. Do you recall what the exact error was?

team deathmatch,

people spawn behind u,

speed is not good yet,  

+ giving boom boom the rights to change settings doest make things better at all.

!fu @@Dukoo - Sammy applied the settings in the config and they seem to be working well. Spwaning is balanced as you spawn near teammates. Team death match makes the game less campy easier to test stuff. Freezetag is there it was just taken off. I was bunny hopping all over the place, ask @ and @@pitbullpete, I kicked their collective asses. All admins have the same privileges with regards to settings, I am no special in that regard. This sounds personal - dobuel !fu @@Dukoo

 

 

@@Sammy,

 

I have noticed two "issues".

 

- If I throw an EMP nade, my own nade effects and so does a friendly's.

- Hardwired doesn't keep cars from detonating

- Setting KillStreak key to 6 unbinds them in the other mod.

- the explosions, gun fire, all seem like we put a muffler on them. Someone compared them to fart sounds.

i noticed that when i set the 3 kill streaks and i dont use one during a map it holds it over to the next map but can not be used nor can the kill streak bind . I then have to go out and restart cod4 program.  ie i have my kill streaks set to f1 f2 f3 i get two of them filled the map ends i used one and the second stays but can not be used at all.   The speed still seems to be a little slower than what we are used to.   The guns are nice but also seem to be less powerful over all, many cases using clip and a half to kill the opponent. 

 

great fun though i like the mod

its a refreshing scene  from the wait to get defrosted routine

 

Oh one other thing why is there a defrosting gun in there for a kill streak doesnt seem useful to choose

Boom Boom no admins do not have that privilage to change the setting of the game you were given that  we do not have access to the mod and its settings.   Could you imagine if all the admins had access to that. Everyone would be changing the mod settings all the time.

 

Dukoo is not attacking you he was making a funny.

 

As an admin you must be able to take the insults as well as the adulations be able to filter both without attacking so quickly.

Ok the icon thing is a bug. On map changes the icons need to be cleared. Something I forgot.

 

The guns are not less powerful.

 

If it takes a clip and a half, meaning 500+ points of damage, then your aim sucks. :P

 

The part with the defrosters was a choice between force removing a streak selection from a player loadout or letting the player do it. I chose to let the player do it but print a message that he needs to change it. Assuming for some strange reason he wants a defroster in tdm even tho he wont be given one. Might change that so its removed.

 

Assuming the map was restarted since yesterday the speed should be the same as the noacr mod. It may not have been. When I upload fixes I will do so.

@@pitbullpete - I had no trouble with bunny hopping or shooting you guys 3 kills with 1 clip. Like @@Sammy said, aim bitches :D. You're right about the killstreak bug. I had the same issue, where it kept my killstreak and I couldn't use it or get rid of it. I forget the circumstances that led to it though but you sorta refreshed my memory.

 

On the other note. Yes you too can make the same changes to the mod, actually all of the mods. You simply need to know the commands. All I had to do was google the commands and viola, I am zee GODSSSS. It's just RCON commands you can set thru console as long as you know the config variables. That being said, Sammy did ask me not to do that as it messes with the way a mod is supposed to behave. Therefore, even if we do decide to "stir" things up its best to return them to the server'r .cfg file settings.

It is my understanding, when its all done, that the intention is to have two servers with this mod. One ftag and one tdm. But that is not my decision certainly and subject to change.

I was thinking about that this morning. We can put it up to vote. Here is my suggestion:

 

We alternate between TDM & FTAG. It plays one map in TDM then the next in FTAG. On rotation restart it switches therefore each map gets played as TDM and FTAG.

I think that was tried and the ftag people would end up leaving for one of the other ftag servers. A lot of people just refuse to play anything else. Including any of the other stock or custom games.

This current mod is way more fun than the stock game. I have a feeling that TDM will become very popular with this.

I'm sure if it had the full 32 players it would be an interesting server. You might also see a lot more of those tactical nukes people like. They dont end the game.

Dude it was only 6 of us and the instant respawn with spawn protection was fantastic. It changed the dynamic if this game. The predator missile is just fantastic, love the new wooshy sound. Just wish the explosions didnt sound like empty bowel movements.

Several of the big explosion sounds were taken from other cod games. So blame them. :P
