Use analog comnecters if you can. I never had issues with that. The only problem that I noticed is if you brake the mic on the headset itself, you can't combine the with Stereomix(er) within Windows, with a Mic jack. I had a MS headset on USB (lx-3000 I think) and the Mic broke off. I used a other headset with jacks combined and Windows still saw the Mic. Of course you can disable it, but Stereomix kept failing. I think that the driver can be the issue or just unlucky with the product.
 Awards

I have a logitech 5.1 THX sub system that i bought 10 years ago with a 8 inch sub and liquid filled tweeter two ways that I will put up against any avg home system... And its all usb, and i can use that for sounds and still use usb mic also.. Guess the point here is get what you want ,Sound and comfort are a personal thing, And more money doesn't mean shit... Was hard to get working at first but now i don't think i would switch to a different kind of headset or headphones. Nisty*
 Awards
