Thought I'd change things up a bit in an attempt to fresh'n game play sort of speak.  The following are a few of the changes:

 

- increase spawn protection time:  Not by much but  just a bit more of an edge to get out of spawn, beneficial to those open area spawn points.

 

- enabled radar:  This will add a little twist to our usual game mode, not so beneficial to campers so don't take this as punishment as I too do a bit of camping.  This is more to urge some movement on some of those maps where everyone hunkers down.  Radar is active after a 5 kill streak (not giving these away for free :rolleyes: ) and lasts only 10 sec, just long enough to give you wink of the playing field.

 

- reduced sprint time:  Comments on some maps I've heard was how fast the other team got to a certain point or close to spawn so I reduced the amount of time of the sprint and increased the rest time a bit between sprints.

 

- reduced bazooka power:  A slight reduction in the amount of power so as not to destroy a tank with one hit or even 2 depending on where you hit it.  After two hits, you can follow up with a sticky or help from a team mate.  (ie team play)

 

Any changes are not set in stone.  The idea of the changes is just for a little variation in a game we all love and keep the interest going not that that is an issue as the server is busy quite frequently.

 

Feel free to post back here your comments and/or suggestions, I won't take them personally :whistle: .  Between myself and @@deerejon , our goal is to continue making this an excellent and fun gaming experience.

Thought I would give some feedback on the radar. Because you need a 5 kill streak to get it, it only makes a dominant side more dominant, to try make it fairer I suggest taking it down to 3 and leaving it at 10 secs. I did notice tonight that it was 20 secs.

Thanks for your suggestion @@skuzapo .  I spoke with @@deerejon today regarding this and he agrees as well about the advantage although he was on the loosing team so he's probably biased.  LOL  JK.

I think the changes are all good except the sprint time......this was OK as it was...IMHO

Some people seem to be able to run further and appear further across the map after spawning or change of rounds....not sure why but doesnt really effect gameplay.......

Finally I think radar should be longer than 10 seconds as I feel that such a short period has had no real impact on the game.....

 

Personally I think that HEMPS bolt action rifle should now fire blanks and his ping brought into line with European ping and be at least 150-200.....

Cool...10 secs is pretty fair considering that when its at 20 secs it really puts an unfair advantage on the losing team...10 secs give a snapshot and helps keep the campers moving....

Hi cool, regarding radar, 10 sec is like just a snap shot of the playing field which was really the intent and as mentioned, too much time can give an advantage so at this time, I'd prefer to leave for now. We can certainly revisit for additional time if we get more feedback to that but would suggest less than 20 sec. As for the sprint, will look into this as that does seem odd. As for Hemps, how about a sling shot?

I think 10 seconds is plenty to give an overall snapshot without pinpointing a location of an enemy, especially if they're across the map...I think 20 seconds will be too much.

Ok, I made a small change to the sprint time so lets see if that makes a difference.  Also note that what you might also be seeing as I increased spawn protection by 1 sec which was done for those maps where you spawn in open areas making it tough to get out of.  Lets see how that goes.  Radar will remain at 10secs now.

dont see why the recon radar can't be put back to the normal time limit, that will put the camo perk back into play. if you want to be hiddin then youll have to give up a perk to have the camo perk. don't really know why it was ever removed in the first place?

Just curious...is there any way to make the FT mod similar to the CoD4 version where at the end of time, everyone thats frozen stays frozen and its sudden death with everyone else? I always thought that was cool...

doesn't need to be 100%. even now with only 10 sec of radar ive found those not frozen, there the ones that are usally moving.....
