That said, our servers are always evolving and change is inevitable in the end. Ive seen a few mod changes and even been one of the people complaining heavily about it being done in the past. But i know that i need to get used to it for the good of the clan and always end up loving the mod once ive played it for a while. IMO this new mod will bring even more new players in to our servers, even with the small issues that are being addressed as we speak because not everyone likes the "same old", alot of players also like new cutting edge mods because they are sick of playing the same mod year after year. Constructive comments are how us admins and Sammy as the modder know what changes need to be made. I have gone through this topic and here are my view of some of the comments. We have routinely updated the mods on all the servers and perhaps even more so for the more popular ones. I refer to the mod folder for our redirect which contains many iterations of the Freezetag mod from g13ftag to the latest (http://www.xiredirect2.com/redirect/cod4/mods/). This will become the new mod for the Ftag server but it is not to say that all aspects will stay the same. I am sure Sammy will be fixing the bugs you have mentioned and balancing the perks to get a better gameplay. There was nothing 'wrong' with the old mod and we may setup a server for it down the line. This new mod will bring a fresh game style to the mix and change up the game a little. Your input is important and your view will be listened to, we have had this mod on a server of its own for a while now to allow people to try it out and help with its development. I like the new mod i do agree that the specing your own players gets me nautious also i cant watch it. A global view would be nice but not too be able to see the other team just and over head view of the map. As for the weapons they are great you have to get use to the new ones and the firing. There are some SICK looking maps in there. We need to go through ALL of them and see exactly what maps work with the 146 mod and separate them and start using them in Map rotations. Its a big mod. But the ones that didnt work before will be checked again to see if they do now. One thing about more current maps is that mappers have gotten much better at using limited assets to their fullest potential. In the past that wasnt as important. Same with mods. I spent a lot of time optimizing things as much as I could but there does come a point where it becomes doing a ton of work for very little gain. Unless everyone wants boxes for player weapons. I understand that lots of work goes into it but if you want my honest opinion it sucks. Some things are nice like seeing different weapons but why just assault rifles and why change rifles that people like. I find that if I aim now with the M16 I can't hit shit... but if I hop around a corner doing a 360 and firing blindly I always get a kill. I've tried the other rifles as well with open, red dot, and acog but if I aim I cant hit anything yet fire from the hip and I swear I've got an aim bot. I don't know why people feel like we need an inventory slot I mean the reason it removed one of the perk slots was to balance out the fact that some people don't like playing with them... I mean really... if you have played COD4 this long and still need a tube to get a kill you should just go back to pong... I don't really like the way the perks are broken up because as others have said you find a combo that works well and it sucks when it's gone. Is there a way to do perks like the kill streaks? just a big list and you pick 3? some of the other things I don't like are: Venom...really lets make those wall spaming pansies a little more of a problem. I noticed a few times when people respawn from cars or other things that people get shot by the person respawning before they actually show up. The first time I thought it was just cause it was Mexican but then I saw it 2 more times last night on one map so maybe It was just that map (Fabrica or something like that I Think) or maybe it was just lag but I usually stay pretty steady between 100-115. I seem to find myself blown up on the other side of walls from some explosives sometimes when it seems I should be safe (you know...brick wall...concrete wall) and maybe that's just a tweeking thing. The fact that you can't keep running while using a car, uav, or counter uav. You use to pull it and keep running, now you stop and pause while using a uav or counter uav or turn into a car. I guess I will try to give this mod more time to try to grow on me and maybe I'll get to like it... but it seems to be aimed at making it easier for all the wall spaming, tube toting, prefiring complete waists of oxygen and biological material that make game suck all that much more... now I know it's all a part of the game and I should just deal with wall spam and tubes and prefiring... but friendly fire is a part of the game too...how about turning that on an telling people it's just a part of the game...that would make any version of this mod great! Learn the issues as you go and pass them on for review and change and hope that it gets fixed. Endure for the duration and hope the right change comes about. If there is an issue pass it on respectfully instead of ranting. I can assure you it will go somewhere quicker that way.That being said, I'm sure Sammy didn't wake up one morning and say "I'm going to fuck over the cod 4 players today" no, realistically he likely thought "what can I do for them that will hopefully make them all happy".. There are things in this mod pack that I dislike as well but if it isn't a broken error issue then suck it up as change, change from something that was the same old boring for years. At times things do need to be checked out and possibly changed. Like the Venom thing. The 'pause' was added to deal with some problems related to quick switching of weapons or spamming buttons when activating a streak. I have thought about doing perks like killstreaks. Not sure what that would do for gameplay however. The reason for 'inventory' was to allow more flexibility in perks. Its a whole lot more than just noob tubes. Flak Jacket protection does not go away so it will protect you against all cars, unless a second car gets you while you are already damaged. See Medkits and packs.
