Check your nvidia settings for video. There is normally a confliction or two there when connecting via HDMI. Try adjusting the Underscan option if its there. Also tweak around with GPU scaling and see will that help

i you hit the fn key and the F1 to F12 to make the picture go out the HDMI cable. You can do it in the Screen resolution (right click on desktop) as well.

Is it a samsung smart tv? If so you can stream it over your wireless network like I do. Just get the samsung app for your pc and have them on the same network. Works flawlessly for me.

can you go into control panel and set it up as a second monitor? I think i had to do that for my last TV. This new one I had to get a mini hdmi to hdmi converter then to TV and i start movie on PC desktop and drag it over to TV and full screen it and away we go.

GeForce, I looked up your T.V., it is a smart device. http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201201/20120112155518797/[Web]PX5DVBAS3A-1012-0106.pdf.

Doesn't help you!

I use a Chromecast and the DLNA feature that is available with my Samsung smart T.V. I don't want no stinking cables lying around. Does require a wireless network using DLNA/ Chromecast, by the way.

if you got picture but no sound try right clicking on volume icon in bottom right, select playback devices and select your TV as default. I have to switch back and forth from my TV to headset that way depending on what i am doing

make sure the aspect ratio on your pc matches what the tv can display or else it does not display it.... 16:9 or 4:3 i believe. also make sure you are not set at anything other than 720 or 1080 or it will not display it. This is what the manual says.

As for computer side check your monitors to make sure you have it set up to dual monitor mode. Cap it at 60 hz because hdmi does not support over 60 hz. oh and run this

The hdmi cable from the pc must be plugged into the 2nd hdmi port on the tv - not the first one. It will not work if it is plugged into the first one.

That has bit me in the ass a few times dealing with automatic updates. I try not to let it do network cards or video cards. Had problems with both.

Pain is the butt I bet.. glad you got it sorted out G.

For anyone with wireless TV's, Nero Media home 4 is free and works pretty well as a server for streaming movies to your TV. It works with all video formats as opposed to windows.
