  1. I guess I don't have a lot of activity on the servers recently....been working a lot. As such, I can get about a map or 2 in before the server redirects me to the "other" server. Today, I got about 15 minutes in....so, as I've tried in the past, I'm going to sit in the other server for about an hour. Oh, and for the record, redirecting sucks. I'd rather just be kicked. I understand how it's suppose to work....all overfill players jump to the redirect and keep playing. The problem is, they get pushed out 1 at a time, so no one sticks around. Anyway, come hit me up. Thanks. Ferret-FSB
  2. Okay, not really, I'm sure the system is automated.....BUT, I wasn't aware if XI admins were aware, so I thought I'd share. http://youtu.be/seNM9MO7eFo
  3. It was the PCM. As the car was under 8 years old and under 80K miles...everything but the insurance for the rental car was covered by warranty. Thank you EPA. LOL
  4. Would any code even be stored while the "check engine" light is NOT lit?
  5. Any reason why that wouldn't register an error code or OnStar not pick it up with a diagnostics test?
  6. Please confirm. Did your Son STILL have power to the radio, AC, and windows? I called GM, which in turn called a dealership...they said check the battery cables (although I can't be sure they had all the details). I DO hope it's this simple...but is it even possible to have power to EVRYTHING else and have a bad battery cable. Additonally, I must be completely ignorant of how cars work...because outside of the "luxury" items, I was under the impression that the battery was needed for nothing more than the ignigtion and starter, and once started, you could basically throw the thing out...and the car would still run. For example, when you get a jump...as long as you get the car started, it doesn't matter how low the battery is...BECAUSE the engine is keeping itself going, independant of the battery. IF this is true...why would a battery cable (or a bad one at that) be the culprit when an engine just dies. Again, I do appreciate all the responses. I really need to get this figured out. Just bought it. 3 years left to pay on it, and no warranty.
  7. 2006 Buick LaCrosse, V6, 12v, 3.8L, OHV. While driving, at any speed, on the highway, or taking corners...the engine simply shuts off. No check engine light, no error code stored. It does display the engine light (NOT the check engine light...it's an outline of the engine), the traction control light, and the engine decreased power light (same as the engine outline light, but with a downward facing arrow). No sounds, not chiming...nothing. It simply shuts off. We coast to the side of the road if possible. Put the transmission into park and wait, never more than 2 minutes, and after trying to start it again a few times, it starts right back up and we are on our way for either 3 more minutes or up to 30 more minutes. The only thing to note is that when we try to start it back up after this happens, but before it will restart, the engine does...nothing. No starter, no clicking, no sounds, nothing. The car has 100% power. Radio, AC, windows, seats....all of it. Last thing. When the engine dies, there is no warning. It doesn't sputter to death, no lights come on prior...it's like driving your car and simply turning it off. However, the first start once it will start back up, can be, but isn't always, a hard start. Thanks for any and all responses in advance. You want a new computer, or your PC fixed, I'm your guy. Got a problem with your car...fuck if I know.
  8. Great looking car. Now let's get some interior pics as well as under the hood (bonnet).
  9. Thanks a lot. Now I don't have keep using my "/reconnect" binds anymore until someone drops.
  10. Well, the way things are looking I will be buying MW3. The Freezetag CoD4 (MW2 mod) is as close as I've ever been to playing MW2. So for me, having never purchased MW2 or Black Ops, it will be my first new game since CoD4. It helps that they will be releasing the public server files as they are the pathway to custom maps and modding. I'd still love to see a demo, but Glen says it's not really his thing.
  11. Thank you very much for the quick response. Would a recorded demo be sufficient? It's a very easy method to "capture" video from the game. By simply typing /record "playername" in console, a very compressed record of the player being spectated is saved. That file can then be sent to anyone for review, so long as it is on your hard drive, simply load the game, then type /demo "playername" into console. lastly, how long is acceptable for a non-XI member to sit in spectator? Due to the popularity of the XI servers, I fear of being kicked for inactivity if I spectate too long. Not sure why my post didn't show because of the quote...but, yeah, the demo, thanks gain.
  12. Hack-usations are a tiresome subject for many server administrators. They are often unfounded and basically based on a players frustration with their own performance. I, and many others, are well aware that a constant, "He's hacking", "How did he know", and "I was shot through a wall" statements can quickly and easily get old. As such, many server administrators have adopted a very simple retort to these, sometimes, constant accusations: "Provide proof of hacking or shut up about it". I believe, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that this is also the XI protocol when dealing with accusation of suspected hacking. So the question is simple. What would be considered sufficient evidence of hacking within an IX server? How would one provide that proof? Is it even truly possible? I'm not here to cause waves or stir the pot, I assure you. I enjoy XI servers (for the most part) far too much to jeopardize my ability to continue playing on XI servers to come into these forums and just start being an ass. I've thought for over a week now if I should ask this question and came to the decision that it is indeed a fair question to ask. When, as a player, I fear that Punk Buster has failed to protect the game I play, and XI provides...what next? Does XI, as a whole, assume that Punk Buster is flawless? Or would it be more accurate to say that so long as the hacking player is acting beyond Punk Busters ability to catch them, XI looks the other way? I find it difficult to believe that either of those last two statements are accurate. XI runs amazing servers. The fact that they are usually always populated speaks to that merit. As such, it wouldn't be foolish to assume that running servers "the XI way" are successful. Yet, I can't help but also believe that if it were possible to contribute to the majority of players experience by way of removing a dishonest player, XI wouldn't act. Again, please forgive me if I assume too much. In conclusion...IF I were to believe that a hacking player has indeed infected an XI server, and this player, or players, appears to be using tools not detectable by Punk Buster, simply making an accusation is not enough. Understood, and agreeable by all I would think. But how do we do it? How do we go beyond the suspicions and move into something more forthright, where upon without the validation of Punk Buster the player may be removed? Thank you.
  13. Sorry I don't remember who told me about firstrow.com when I was int he server. That's just a fault I have....very bad/short memory. But this is a direct thanks to whoever it was. Been watching the LIONS (GO LIONS!) kick the shit out of the Bucs. Greatly appreciate it. The site works like a charm.
