I had to update my soundcard today because it was'nt working properly when i played cod5, i think cod4 was ok and now it is great for a few seconds then it drifts out, i have been told it sounds like i am far away from the mic, help please.

Hi sonovabitch i had the same problem with mine it turned out to be the mic was faulty. what do u use a mic on its own or a headset with mic??

Its a headset and mic, i dont think anything is wrong with mic everything was ok until i started messing about with win7 ie trying to do a clean install.

Thanks Rockape but i have it on 4800 hz dvd quality, but i have no signal enhancements box so i can't enable that, don't know if it's important, i also had the same problem on vent too.
