Why not post a video of your pride and joy?

I'll kick off with a clip of "Enterprise" going slow ahead into the village of Braunston, Northamptonshire, England.

It gives you an idea of what the English canals are like and of the boats that are used on them.

The speed limit, by the way, is 4mph and I was chugging along at about 1.7!

(I have a few more here but will only post on request as I don't want to spam the forum with narrowboats!)

That won't be for a long time now, mate. We moved the boat up to Cheshire, last autumn,

and, especially with the drought now affecting all the Midlands, do not envisage cruising south

this year.

Ricko, the sun does come out when we are on the boat but only if I leave our portable barbecue

at home! I bought a Cobb South African model ideal for the purpose, loads of accessories such

as a wok and frying pan and griddle for it but every time I have put it on the boat it has p*ssed

down all week long!

This isn't my boat, but I've been in it a number of times and prefer going just a little faster than 4 mph. A good friend of mine works for Howard Arneson and occasionally I'm lucky enough to take a ride at 100+ mph on San Francisco bay.
