I remember when I was a kid thinking I would never be like my dad. That's not saying I didn't love my dad to the ends of the earth its just as a kid I saw so many things and little behaviors that I said to myself I would never do that. Do you remember thinking that about someone very close and dear to you. The funny thing today is all those things I thought were quirks back then are things I have picked up doing over time until one day I realized I was a spitting replica of my father in a my behaviors. When I lost him I had a real hard time with it for a while but when my grieving actually took place I came out the other side with a much greater respect for him than before as then I was just an unappreciative kid. You know what they say about mimicry of someone right? Its the best form of flattery. Today I think my best role model I have ever been exposed to was my dear ole dad who I miss so much these days. Her was the one who taught me how to work and not by force but by example. When I had to I could work with the best but i took motivation. What I would give just to hug him and tell him I love him now and say Dad, you are my only role-model!

Whilst I have not consciously sought to imitate anyone else, I have been compared with this fellow...

Nobody could put a bottle of Brandy away like Winston. Year in, year out. And still be coherent.

Spanky is my role model. He taught me to be prepared for anything. My real role model (dad) taught me how to deal with guys like Spanky. Picture is of Spanky, not my dad. :hrhr:
