Kinda just wondered if any of the good people of the XI use an ecig or vape and have quit smoking...I quit about 2 years ago and vape alot...In the UK ecigs are not really that big but from the internet i can see they are growing in popularity in the US....

Would like to swap tips ideas etc..get reviews even and generally talk about anything related.....

I started vaping 3 1/2 years ago and haven't had a cigarette since. I LOVE my e-cig! I've ordered from several different companies and it was trial and error until I found what I liked. The e-cigs that can be bought at convenience stores are totally different from what I buy online. I tell people not to waste their money on those.

Yes, it is just one habit for the other. If I didn't have the e-cigs, I probably would have gone back to smoking. These are far less dangerous. I have done enough damage to my body already. And......I really love the e-cigs.

I tried one brand, from the store. it was ok, but the company that was making that one apparently went bankrupt, and quit making refills.

So I still smoke normal smokes. Mercy's parents have switched to the ecigs. Her dad for almost 2 years now, and her mom for a little over a year.

They love em. Her dad's breathing sounds so much better now, he was getting to be in rough shape before he switched.

Over 2 years without an analog cig! Love my eCig. I've used it is airports, hospitals, restaurants and all day at work. No issues or complaints. I Found making my own juice is easy, much less expensive, never run out and the flavor choice is almost endless. Bacon flavor anyone?!? My favorite is Maple with a touch of caramel. I currently use a eGo battery with a clearomizer. Try Liberty-flights for cheap parts. They are based out of England but have a warehouse in the US for fast shipping if you are in the US. (be sure to "activate" the 20% off in the upper left corner) There are tons of mods, and different styles and new stuff coming out every day but I stick to what has worked for me. My nicotine habit costs me about $250/year vs $4000 smoking analog cigs, I feel MUCH better and I'm not intruding on anyone's space.

im a almost 1 year ecig user, stopped smoking the day i tested my first ecig, never want to smoke a cig ever again.

simple as that.

Even more, im completely disgusted by real cigs. just the smell of it makes me sick.

anyway for the mod i use the mini provari V2 (fkn awesome) and a genesis style atomizer.

i would say its the perfect combination, and relatively easy to maintain. u just need to build the coil like everyday or every 2 days, but its easy.

The provari V2 looks really nice but that price scares me. I lose eCigs before they really die and losing $150 cig would not be fun. If I lose mine I'm out about $20.

Why are some of the ECIGS some damn expensive......they are a battery pack with alittle electronics in......not really worth the money.....or are they?

Is it worth the money for VV?....

I use standard EGO type battery and the CE4 cleromiser.......atty lasts a week or 2......tried cleaning them...but no point...only about £2.50 for the atty...so not expensive.....

would love one of those expensive PRO things but cant justify the money....

I agree. My brother bought me a nice box mod but the 1st time I dropped it, it broke bad enough not to be able to put back together. The system you use is exactly what I'm using and find it very economical. And as mentioned in the above post if I lose one I'm not cryin the blues. I actually found a "tube" mod that uses a 14650 battery, Tube is 9.99, switch is 9.99 and batteries from deal extreme are about $5. One battery lasts about a day and a half before needing a charge. 1 full XL CE4 lasts about the same as the battery charge but these are hard to find in stock anywhere. I keep a few ego batteries charged and ready.

Well i started with the standard ego battery, and tested a few other mods. but honestly nothing equals the provari.

its like comparing a cheap corean car with a Bentley.

now i still use the ego sometimes when i go out in some place i think i could loose the ecig, then i take the 2 egos with me, and i dont use the genesis, but a 306 or a tank with a boge carto.

i like the ego because i think the output is a bit regulated compared to a usual mod, so everytime u will fire it, u get the same thing.

but the provari is top at this. i dont regret paying the price honestly, its the best money i invested

i also have a Precise+ from super T manufacturing that i dont use anymore, but its a beauty.

i may sell it soon, its a piece of jewelery but without regulated power :(

if one would buy a battery and dont want to invest a bit the best thing might be to stay with an ego battery with variable voltage or not if u need this.

johnnyquest, i got the same ego-C and i also got one of those clearo, but remember, the clearo is something u'll have to replace after a certain time, depending on the kind of liquid u use. (here that same clearo lasted for like 3 weeks or something like that)

like for example u have PG and VG juice, the VG will screw ur clearo faster, but some people cant stand PG.

for my part i stay away from PG as much as i can, all my fav liquids are 100% VG or a 50/50 mix.

note also that u'll have to recharge the battery, and therefore its better to get 2, so that one is recharging when the other is in use.

going from analog to ecig is nice but u have to really get the right thing that will suit your needs, and everyone is different.

but i think u made a good choice, the ego battery is a nice little batery and the clearo is ok, to me it has a weird taste, but not bad at all.

now u'll need to get the juice u'll like.

and honestly that is the hardest and the most important thing if u want to succeed.

i have like 50 different liquids here that i know i wont vape ever, because i just cant stand the taste.

but now that i have found 2 or 3 good ones, im ok.

what do you suggest then chick...cartomizer or atomizer...which one lasts longer i guess is what it boils down to...plus i don't want that funny taste..if possible

This is what Bama and I both use. I like the clearomizers so much better. The carts that have the stuffing in them tastes weird sometimes as whatever it's made of sometimes burns a little. When that happens, it tastes like burned plastic. Nasty! We order everything from Totally Wicked http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/ and I order some liquids from Johnson's Creek http://johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/.
