My wife is the chef at my house and we discovered a Brined turkey is absolutely Scrumptious.

We brine the turkey with seasonings 2days before cooking and a herb and butter mix is placed under the skin of the turkey before it goes into the oven.

no no no no no it has to be the martha stewart way.

This I do 3 times a year thanksgiving day Christmas and my birthday I love the turkey. If you Google turkey history you will know one reason why. Plus add the turkey soup wow love it turkey lunches love it. I have tried them all out and have to say this is the best way to get the most moist turkey possible. People at my table still don't believe its possible. Don't worry marge you're soaking in it :}

 p.s. don't worry about the alcohol it does burn off and just leaves the taste of whatever winemaker does to make the wine. You have to play with this because some use herbs some use nuts some use fruit to make there wine and each one leaves a splendid taste in the turkey.turkey. Johnny dos good lend a hand here on what they do. It is very true that the basting does leave a flavor so use it to add to the rest of your meal and table. enjoy

  Just so it involves everybody I do love turkey farts too :)

My favorite is still the traditional way in the oven with salt & pepper. I may also coat the skin with olive oil and a few bay leaves, but nothing else. The main reason it's my favorite is because that makes the best gravy, and a turkey without lots of perfect gravy just isn't worth eating for me, and turkey gravy is my favorite.

I also love to slow smoke one on the BBQ as long as I'm not in the mood for gravy.

Traditional here, but the bird must be in a bag in the oven! This makes for the most moist meat and lots of juice for the gravy! Mmmmm! Can't wait for Thursday! The meal, football and four days off!

i just throw mine in the smoker, comes out moist and juicy every time.just a lil bit of spices, and i usually have a pork roast or some other meat above it so its drippings fall on top of the turkey.  yummmm
