EMP nades are now also a defrost flare. The more nades by someone the faster they will defrost.

OK this is for everyone. Should have posted it sorry.......

 

Delete the older iwds with the long names. Only include the four new ones with short 3-letter names. The reason for the shorter names is to help deal with some of the filesum errors some maps get on round changes. The problem is partially related to the total number of characters in the various stock/mod/map ff and iwd filenames combined. On round changes all those filenames get read again and count double. When there are too many, I think 1024 or something, it will crash.

last night the scores glitched? I was on top with 3000+ points and when a new round begun I was at the bottom of the board with 700 points??? My kills, assists and death counter was the same.

In the mod folder there should be 5 files.

 

mod.ff

img.iwd

snd.iwd

wpn.iwd

ow.iwd

 

Delete any other iwds with different names.

 

I had to rename them to solve some problems.

yeah sound effects do seem louder mini a waste now  before game changer.seems to me also more non registers I don't know if server get  packet dumps or something but I see  people hitting other people with non registers.love that care package mini and grenade gun packages carry over:) keep up the good work but major thing is fix the ci inbetween rounds and maps. ty

Sounds fx not changed except the ACR fire is a little less loud. I will be checking out the mininuke. As posted before maybe some settings need to be tweaked.

 

edit: Just a description how the mininuke works:

 

The blast itself uses the same functions as the usual airstrike. If you are 'indoors', which is measured by whether or not something is over your head, then a modifier in effect cuts the normal range to %25. Cluster bomb strikes are the same. The old saying, if it aint broke dont fix it.

 

Radiation works differently. Structures will not block it nor reduce its effects. Range is 1.5X blast radius. Damage works by using distance to set a timer. You are affected by X number of seconds with health slowly being taken from you. The closer you are the longer the timer. Hardwired will reduce time by %50.

 

This is the way it works both on the older mod and this mod. The difference could be whether or not the max radius was increased from the default settings before. Also max damage. This is likely but I do not know.

New thing is that this AM the map stuck at the end of the game after we won the 5 rounds needed, and wouldn't jump to next map, just stayed on end of map camera shot.

Apparently it did this last night too for 1/2 - 1hr, clears the server, so please could this be rectified ASAP guys.

Somehow i am pretty feeling the same as gatorgirl. And i will tell u why. 

 

if u put the reroll thing on hardwire, people are able to get a carepackage with 1 less kill than normal. 

 

means that every 3 kills someone gets are cp. how fucking eazy that it...  u gonna get a carepackage war full of sentry guns, sentry nade's, choppers and etc...

i personaly think its better aswell if u leave it on snatch n grab. Just like it was. 

if people can get so eazy a CP with hardwire with 1 less kill, they would get cp's all the time so eazy, so when they are having the option to retoll them as well all the time, i would not wanna know what that is gonna do to the game. lol

all i know is, before the change, i would get off at 2 am,my time and there would always be 10-25 people on,, since the change,,,,,not 1 single person any night.Thats gotta say something

Then again to get hardline with the -1 and reroll you are giving up other valuable perk2 options. So its a trade off. You can choose a helper in getting streaks. Or you can get immunity to betties, helicopters, sentryguns, and no target markers. Or more power to get kills with one shot for lower powered weapons, especially those with silencers. Its up to you which you think is more valuable. Do you want enhanced combat abilities or a little easier time to get a streak?

 

There are plenty of counters to all streak weapons. If you are concerned about more helicopters, ac130s and artillery get a SAM at 4-kills. Or 3 with hardline. Assuming a clear line of sight they are pretty much a guaranteed kill every time. And lets not forget you can steal cp's. You see the green smoke. You know its coming. Wait for someone to try and take it then shoot his ass. And if you have hacker you can leave the enemy a decoy for their troubles.

 

If you look at all these counters streaks are not nearly as deadly as you think... if the team chooses to do it.

New mod was tested last night, we fixed the mini nuke, the end stats board is back and we hope the CI between rounds is gone. 

 

I will get the new mod up today on the server. 

 

 

The reason the mod was dead over night is because the map issue, no on could play on the server. This has nothing to do with the mod.

Dukoo, I think the difference here is that you are only rerolling low end stuff.  If you could reroll and get a nuke like folks did before then I would understand.  I assume that a sentry gun is less likely than just rerolling to a car or UAV.  I really like Hardline...once I saw it, I stopped using Snatch & Grab...taking emp nades in place of the slower thaw time.

 

I will say it is awesome to throw an EMP nade on someone, then manually thaw them, and thaw them twice as fast.

 

I love the mod - although a some folks seem to lag pretty badly.  I usually play with a ping of 50 and  I've noticed the level of pings that "lag" around the screen have been reduced.  For example, It used to only be Prinny-type pings around 300 that lagged around the screen but now folks around 200 are doing so.  Not sure if that is the result of the mod or something on my end but it does make some maps tough.

I cannot get the quote function to work so I will reply to you this way.

 

We have other servers to test new mods on. What I was referring to is a well populated server that is suffering from bugs which is affecting how many players we are seeing on there. It is a mod that in its standard form has out populated the latest mod servers. I am not against change, I just hate my regular stress release making me even angrier because of problems when the changes could have been tested on another server first so it had smooth integration.
