The booming craft beer scene in the US would run circles around canadas brews in both strength and overall ratings. Top rated Strong Beers: the only canadian beer in the top 20 is #15 La Face Cachée de la Pomme Neige Recolte D’Hiver, everything else is either USA or Belgium. The Best Beers of the USA 4.17-4.40 The Best Beers of Canada 3.81 - 4.28 (I do really enjoy your unibroue brews though) Edited July 3, 2014 by Oneill eidolonFIRE

People still buy the weaker mass produced beers but micro breweries are huge here and putting a big dent in the sales of the large makers. Kids still drink the watered down shit like Coors light (yuk) because it's cheap, but as we age our tastes get more refined. Stronger doesn't always mean better. We used to call Canadian beer moose piss. Some of it had a really bad after taste and left me with really bad hangovers without having to drink much of it. eidolonFIRE
 Awards

Haha, that's what Canadians call American Beer 'piss" lol, I find American beer to be nasty, I do prefer Canadian beer such as Moosehead and some English beer JohnnyDos
 I remember when I lived in Yakima Washington, they brewed there beer from hops and I know that sure made a different on flavour texture and after taste. That's probably some of the issue you experienced LOM..
 Awards

I once saw an excellent diagram showing how Canadian beer is made from moose piss... the moose was drinking a Belgian I think. I tried desperately to find it again. no luck.
