Looks like I have to do a HD re-format....can someone tell me exactly what files from COD4 and COD5 should I save so I don't loose all my settings, classes, ranks, etc.

Problem I'm having is trying to go from a Nvidia GTX vid card to a Radeon R9 card. I've tried every solution I could find to uninstall old NVidia drivers which are causing huge problems with new Radeon R9 card....any help will be greatly appreciated....

Move the following folder to safety before formatting.  When you are done and have re-installed the game, it's patches and PunkBuster updates, move the folder back to where it was:

C:\Users\<your windows account name>\AppData\Local\Activision

Here's a post for COD4 and a link to the COD5 profile back up.

Not so sure if those work well I've never used them. I would do a manual back up of all the mods , maps and my profile. In windows seven it would be found here for COD5

C:\Users\Labob\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW

Here's the locationfor COD4 , But I'd ask an Admin of COD4 for confermation about this loaction been to long for me to say its right.

H:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

I know NOTHING about this utility, and if you install it, watch out in case there's crapware in the installer.  But this does claim to do a clean uninstall of display drivers - both AMD and NVIDIA - and it does come from what I believe to be a reputable source.

If it saves you a reformat and Windows reinstall, I think that's worth it right there.  Changing video cards should never require a reformat/windows reinstall to get things sorted, but I do understand that sometimes a driver doesn't gracefully uninstall like it should.
