We all have bad days/moments playing and it's often easy to blame things like ping. We know some of you won't like the mode and some will. Those that don't, at least try it for beyond just a few games. If more people want HC mode back during US time or the player counts don't show any improvement it will probably be reverted back to HC. This server is mainly used by XI and foXI and a few other regulars so it's up to you all to state what you want. The goal here is to simply see if it can be populated a little more so those that do play on it can have more fun and Classic was mentioned by a few people so we are giving it a shot. Me personally, I like HC more but honestly I play whatever, I play to have fun and hang out with a bunch of idiots, not to let a game make me rage (too much). It is the first XI classic server for those players that don't want hardcore but also don't want Doritos. Also it will take time like always to build a fan base within a server, I wish we could have done it with a new server instead of disrupting a current server with an existing fan base but this is what the admins decided. We are simply trying something different to see what everyone thought as there is nobody in the US hardcore server during most US days. Beyond the breakfast club when that server is used by our XI members, it's empty the majority of days from 8 AM to 5 PM central. Another server doesn't seem feasible at this time so we are simply trying to figure out how to generate more interest and traffic in XI servers. Clearly we can't maintain an entire server if there is not going to be a population in it so this is a trial run but any suggestions that anyone has, please feel free to state them. I don't think a half and half server is going to work out very well. People that favorite it may favorite it thinking its classic and go back and see its hardcore and vice versa. I would say either a 4th server or none at all. but at this time i don't think there is enough support for a 4th server. so i would say just leave it as HC. Though I do really enjoy the classic. It takes more bullets to kill someone than on HC. I got three hits on a guy with a .50 cal and he still makes it to my tank to plant C4. I don't see how a blended server like this will help populate the server. I think just having people in the sever is what drives others to join. I also didn't see the minimap you guys are talking about. All I saw was a health/bullet counter thing on the bottom right of the screen. I applaud you guys trying new things. I'm all for it, but in this case I don't like the results. I think the servers need to be either HC or SC. A something in the middle game doesn't really work because HC fans like HC and SC fans like SC. I will be a full-time EU server troll if you decide to keep this. Let's do whatever we are going to do for at least a month or two, it can take that long for folks to find us and add us as a favorite. THEN we look at server population graphs to determine if we have some success or not. I don't like speculation such as "well the server is always empty when I look at it" because that can be a false sense of real population. We all know people only stick around if there are enough people in the server to start a game.
