Only people that were using gravatars lost them. I was looking for ways to speed up the site and saw that gravatars were adding a considerable amount to load time.

I t don't really matter which one we pick anyway because i presume we will still have the option of changing to whichever one we want like we do now with the Paint pot option.

Yeah you will always have the option of changing. This is more a collective decision on what new members will see and what people who log in/out regularly will have. There is a known flaw that when you clear your session data it will forget the background that you have chosen.

 

There has been a good number of responses and it's looking like image 2 will take it. I will leave this up until tonight at least before making a change.

 

I will also be crashing the website later as I want to try moving some resources to be served from a different location, take this as my official announcement.

I would imagine it's because people are looking for something that makes text more visible

But as for the def theme, it should be something that shows we're the  Xtreme Idiots and put an impression on those who visit our server/forums for the first time.

 

 

I think everyone is missing the point on this, this theme should be the main welcome to the forums when guests come here, not for looking good on your own personal back round, there's 22 votes on just the grey theme 17, and if that wins you really want people coming to our site and seeing just grey? and the #2 theme is just as bad. it needs to have >XI<  Xtreme Idiots all over it!!!!!

With the logo down in the bottom right it wont be able to interfere with any of the websites content while still having XI somewhere in the image! There now everybodys happy

i agree, but you can change the theme to one you want for yourself, but it does keeping going back to default, but that's something that needs fixing!

For now I do now want to add anymore options to the vote, it seems quite clear that the two most wanted are the COD style and the plain grey. Both make it easier to see text. I think that going with the plain grey does make the background image obsolete so the change will be made to the COD style one.
