The difference between venomous coral snake and the non-venomous corn snake.

Red touches yellow, dangerous fellow. Red touches black, friend to Jack.

Be careful!

I always heard it as Red and Yellow will kill a fellow, don't remember the second half, because I am only concerned about not dying! {-_-}

Yea I was careful and respected it.. but did not harm it. I took it too the Zoo and they are going to keep it if it checks out ok.

Their is no Anti Venom.. one bit and you probably done. From what they were telling me they are a very common snake around here. They are shy from humans their food is other snakes. I thought it had babies but it vomited the food out.. and then the snake was able to get out of the bucket. So I had to get it in another container. My security system captured me trying to catch it. Sure pretty funny.

The first selfie with a Coral snake in a car.

Come on Labob... they are harmless. lol

snakes are cool!

Only dangerous when they think you've cornered them and they are threatened. (like being put into a bucket lol)

They are very docile/efficient creatures. They aren't going to go out of their way to attack you, that would be a waste of precious energy.

Normally I'd agree with you but just like any animal you have some that are meaner than, well snakes. When I was a kid in Ohio I was bitten by a copperhead on the leg that went out of its way to slither across the yard just to bite me. I didn't stop it because I figured there was no way it would bite but the fucker did. After several shots and a lot of swelling & pain I was fine after a few days. The snake however wound up as a hat band after I killed the fucker and skinned it for biting me.

Out here in California I see rattlesnakes frequently and usually I can walk within a few inches and they don't pay much attention other than a little rattling, but sometimes they will come closer to you for no obvious reason. A couple years ago we were at my brothers house on 4th of July and a rattler came into the garage and headed straight for one of the kids. I scooped it up with a rake and put it in a bucket. We dropped it off a few miles away.

I was bitten by several non-poisonous snakes as a kid because I was always picking them up and playing with them. Especially the green snakes and the black snakes. Mom always hated that because she freaks out just at the sight of one.

How did it go at the zoo? Did they lock you up and release the snake?

I hear you, my uncle almost died after getting bitten by a really small snake. He stomped on it and didn't take the bite seriously. Bad idea, two hours later he was at the ER fighting for his life.

You must not have spent anytime where there are water moccasins...They are highly aggressive even when not provoked...

Oh gees that gust makes my cringe lol I hate snakes they creep me out lol one time when I was younger and I was like 5 I would help my dad pile wood up for the winter for our wood stove. Well as we were stacking it up from a big pile I grabbed a price and out came a snake lol I'm guess just a regular garden snake don't remember the color of it , after that I have never liked them lol

Then one time we were at friends house and they have one of those enclosed patio I guess you call them with the screen all the way around well anyways we were sitting in there and my mum went to grab something from her purse and there out comes s darn snake out her purse lol I screamed so loud haha they are just creepy lol and yes some very dangerous

You see another one of those brother.... you do what Lou would do.... Crush it with a big fucking rock. Or take its head off with a machete.

When I was 16 I was over at my neighbors house chilling with him. His little sister and a friend came up to me and said "Hey we found a cool snake."

Went down to the roadside where they found it. Was a baby copperhead. I told em to grab a camera from her mom. As soon as they left I crushed that bastard with

a paving stone. Told them it slithered off. Snakes are not to be trusted.
