More attention needs to be given to remembering this day by teaching our young people the importance of this mission.

Its a shame that today's youth don't have a clue as to what happened that day and the sacrifices made by so many.

The hell that awaited these brave soldiers as they landed on those beaches is one we all will never know.

Personally when I see people that show no respect for our Veterans or treat Memorial day like just another day for a barbeque it pisses me off.

If it wasn't for the people that have laid down their lives to preserve Freedom the people of this great nation might not be "allowed" to have a barbeque and might be speaking a different language.

Many times while growing up in Southern Calif I seen the flag of Mexico flying at the top of the flag pole on Memorial day and fourth of July and yes these people have the right to fly any flag they want when ever they want and perhaps they were honoring the veterans of Mexico's wars but, In my opinion these people would not be living in this free country and enjoying the liberties we enjoy without the sacrifices of American and Allied soldiers.

While in America respect the people that gave you the freedom you have first.

and yes @@Gatorgirl lets see some ID . . . .  . . .
