Replacement of Xfire

Anyone willing to give a informative review of GSC, Raid Call, and or HLSW Chat.

 

Regard last post. My clan's leader said he had issues with Evolve's overlay being buggy in Windows 7. Right now Razer Comms out of the tested ones seems the most viable since overlay works and it's available on smart phones too. It's owned by the guys who make those gaming mice and keyboards. Should be a well funded project that will not go bell up like Xfire did, well as long as it's popular.

 

Probably would vote for Razer Comms but waiting until GSC, Raid Call and HLSW Chat have been vetted.

Like i said in my post . Evolve was caught off guard - there the only ones trying to accomidate the xfire users . It will take some time but i bet it ends up being a similar program. I would imagine right now the shock load has them working 24/7 and funding is a issue. There is no immediate solution but who is going to put the work in is whats being watched.  I'll install it and try to join before i support it but from what i am reading which is often wrong, they have my attention.

Yes I think it's safe to remove. We are not sure what program we are going to use to replace it with as of now.

I am not removing it as the chats are still on my harddrive to look at. And 24Mb doesn't hurt me

so are these other programs  do they have game overlay? i can open it up while in game like xfire did?

Right now I'm using Raptr and it has overlay @@Gam3rGurL. They may want us to use something else it's a wait and see thing.

i have tried raptr and evolve and must say i prefere evolve as it runs smooth ingame. this way i dont need to leave game and loose my points just to get admins if needed

 

raptr doesnt work ingame for me and some others... for no reason

 

i would go for evolve.... steam is making my ping higher, same goes for skype.

I would say that, I am sorry, but the Evolve one is clearly the future proof for now. 

Today, I was like, with the DDos event, missing out to start up XFire to contact or Rugger and sending a PM was hardly possible.

 

By that time you don't think and to expect to have them on TS at the time, so you can only email them and wait. As of the latest reply of one of the Devs, I am sure that Evolve meets our new Xfire-style. 

Also, that the main Dev responded to me, says enough that they care(for now).

 

There is nothing out there to replace XFire, seriously.

Good Luck with Evolve.They want MONEY ($4.99 a month or $49.99 a year) otherwise you could wait up to 1 Hour in Que if there server is busy.
