It did a good 4-5 second tail walk across the top of the water and I was shitting a brick thinking it was gone, held on, got her in the net and the hooting and hollering started! They heard us at the Entry shack to the park we were hollering so loud!! weighed in at 6 lb 1 oz and was released safe to be caught/breed another day! After a few pics of course!! Was best day on boat yet. I caught 11 fish, 20 iin total were caught, 8 were brought home for a fish fry! Nice Fish @@StormCrow I love fishing along side of reeds where they end in deep water and throwing a top water bait at first light along side the reeds will get you "hammered" ! Nowadays with so many people fishing and taking fish home for a tasty meal it just makes sense to release a portion of your catch and in this case your bass had the "right stuff" to grow to that size and releasing it now will give better odds that more fish of that size will be there in the years to come.
