We are trying our best to do so, but we need help. It would be nice to see clan members use it, as well as non clan members. In the recent past, this server was a softcore server, and it had one of the best admins our clan has. He kept this server going and he had players following him to play. He has been missing for a few months but it is rumored he will be back soon, and I know that will definitely be a boost to the US server. One question we always have is whether to return this server to "normal" play instead of "hardcore". US players tend to like more "vehicles" than EU players, but this is just one alternative. I would welcome any help and advice that you all can give so that we continue to improve and make the US server very popular. We need XI players, but also the regulars to help with starting up the server. I know it can be frustrating to start a server up, being there, with noone to shoot, but i politely ask you guys to give it more then one round. Eventually it will start up. If it has to be softcore, or hardcore, i don`t know. If it needs to be softcore to attrackt more player, then it should be that. On hardcore it does just fine if people will start it. We get 52 people and a queue. I'm sure it would do the same softcore also. But regardless of what it is, if no one starts it well, doesn't matter what map, mode or setting it is. She will just sit empty. We need consistency and regular players, if we are constantly changing the mode we can't keep any regular players. We did the SC vs. HC in the past and the HC won. I personally like HC better but end of the day it's what the larger group wants. But again, none of this matters anyway if no one is helping start it. The consistency comes into play because if it's alive one night and dead the next you can't get regulars. If you can keep it going nightly for a week or two well people start to keep coming back. After a while regulars help start it because they KNOW it WILL run. Right now, no non-members like to stick around because for all they know it won't take off. We need someone with no job or life basically lol. Once it's going it's great. But I seem to sit on it alone for 12hrs and no one else appear. Yesterday for example it never started, my guy was on it for like 13 hours and crickets. I gave up at like 10pm. We should have clan members and regulars suggesting their input in what they would like to see done with the server , different game modes and such or even going back to Softcore server for example. Now the only issue I see if the server were to change from Hardcore to Softcore is that the regulars that currently play on the server would most likely never play there again if they see the server go to Softcore. You rarely see people that play on Hardcore switch back to Softcore. I personally dont mind Softcore at all but if the server were to go Softcore we would need a lot of volunteers to try get the server running or else it just wont work at all. There is 1000's of Softcore servers compared to Hardcore so it would be tough to populate. If we can get another couple of players involved, maybe we can get this going like we want. Again, thanks I agree, I found other 64 slot US HC servers with all 30 conquest maps and full 24/7. If we can just get some more consistent running and regular players to help start it things will be great. We get it, we all get on and just want to play as we are limited on time. But if we can work hard to get it running more often that should help it get to the point of starting easier and less effort so we CAN just come on and play and not have to work This server does get a decent amount of international players, hopefully we can borrow some more of the EU for spill over to help it go. Too often people worry about a ping going from 30 to 100 when really it's not that obvious in this game. Just a suggestion When it was that way it was even worse because when it fills up and the round ends and people leaves it's empty and the last few always bail lol. It's been doing better since we increased it above the 24 slots it originally was. The problem is just we don't have anyone helping to get it going. Once in that time EU server had 12 in queue. I am not XI yet but think that more Europeans should help US server going as well. In teamspeak it is quite fun. For example, more Rush, a gun master every now and then etc. just like the EU server. Majority of the time stuff like CQ, Rush and Chainlink are voted anyway so why not add the options? When a good map/gamemode arises people vote for it. On the EU server I've seen Propaganda and Pearl Market as very popular for pretty much every game mode and Lumphini Gardens every now and then. On the US server the main ones I've seen are Hangar 21 and Operation Locker. I spend most of my time on the EU server so don't take my word for it but this is just MY findings. Mid-End of last week is when I changed it to CQ Large only for the large rotation which is what's helping it run longer (though some of you are helping start it up better too, so thanks for that!) Small map rotation is Domination, Gun Master, Small CQ etc. Once it's on the large list it seems to have no problem going with just the 30 large conquest maps. I myself do like a mix to it and like Rush etc. also but for whatever reason the other modes don't seem as popular in the US and far to many times I've seen Rush turn on and empty the server. Domination also has it's limits. On a full server of 40-50 people I've seen domination empty it out also (despite in EU not the case). It seems to work well to help get it going but that's about it. While logically you might think like me, hey they can vote for something else, the problem is only a few people are voting. So 1 person votes rush and no one else votes but they don't want to play it, map loads, server empties out. I did just go ahead and add the 4 large CA maps just now so we'll see what that does to the mix. Hopefully it's a good medium. You can play it like Rush if you want or CQ. I think because the "Big" rotation is working for the moment we might leave that one alone a bit longer but we can maybe work on the startup rotation (IE small map list) better. Once things stabilize more we can start to sneak some other stuff into the big rotation As for the server description/name. It is dynamic. When it's on the small rotation it says "Mixed", when it switches to the large rotation the server name changes to "Conquest" in place of "Mixed".
