Last night i started having my connectivity probs again. I am at a loss and have no idea what to do next. So if you have any idea please let me know. All hardware is new and I have the highest connection  Xfinity has available in this area. When I do speed test it maxes the meters out. Yet when I am trying to do anything it acts like the old dial-up connection I had years ago. When it does connect it runs fast like normal then within 5-10 seconds it is squelched don't to no connection to do anything with. We have tried different ports and a new CAT6 cable. The only thing left is to try the new PCie internet adapter I bought, but the realtek one is brand new as the motherboard is brand new. Please help if you have any suggestions what I can do to fix this once and for all.

I did several speed tests and I maxed the meters out so I know my connection to my pc is good. There is something going on inside somewhere!

Hmm, this is an odd issue.

What exactly is the problem? You're using an Ethernet connection to the router, and when you play you get a bad connection? Have you looked at your ping? What about your FPS?

You could try resetting your router.

I have reset my router so many times it is beginning to hate me! lol My ping is where it is suppose to be. I am wondering if there is some setting somewhere that is glitching on me. As it does it about the same time every week and also seems to go away the same way! Yes it is a very odd issue! :(

I don't update Realtek lan drivers any more since I had a Huge problem with there new drivers a few months ago on 2 PCs.Once you update Realtek lan drivers it over writes the old ones and it's impossible to roll back the driver unless you do a full system restore or reformat and reinstall windows.

You could manually search and delete all the registry keys if you knew exactly which keys to delete. But that may take hours to dig through and delete the correct ones.Even after you uninstall Realtek crap it leaves several dozen keys behind in the registry.

I use the windows driver or the driver that came with the motherboard and Never update it.

Windows registry has gotten ridiculously huge and complicated since win 98

NIC is your Network Interface Card, are you using WiFi or Ethernet to your computer?

I am using ethernet! But an interesting thing happened a little while ago and Windows fixed my problem by itself. I had to reboot it and it scanned the drive in the procewss and when it was over it said there was a driver error and had me reboot again and then all seems well at this point! Idk what really happened but I am back up again!

take out router and see what happens/connect straight from modem-does it change ?

you have  a newer computer with newer software and hardware and the latest drivers and cat 6-

so lets rule all that out-what does that leave

is it comcasts modem  and router -whats models are they-

my new modem router is faster but is known to lose connection sometimes-

i have the sbg6580

modem and gateway router-

Go to device manager too and check there are no hardware issues with anything.
