Well first and foremost I would like to see your physical proof that both items have failed. unless something really bad happened like the psu over cooked your processor and board,or you peed on them while it was on,I doubt both have failed at the same time. Please explain!! :welcome:

I have proof it happens from MSI admitting they had to fix a MB that fried 3 boards and 3 Cpu's got away from MSI and problem solved!

I recommend an LGA 1151 Z170 MOBO with either i5-6600K or i7-6700K CPU

I can't recommend the 5930K or 5960X when the i5-6600K is $250 and is only 2 Frames behind the big boys.

You would think a 6 core or 8 core Intel CPU means better for gaming. You are wrong. You only need 4 cores. Will the 5930K or 5960X ever be mainstream? Not for many more years to come. By the time games need more cores the 5930K and 5960X will probably have dated technology so the extra cores maybe useless in the future of gaming. You'd think an 8 core AMD should outperform a 4 core i7 but more cores doesn't mean better performance.

As of right now the i5-6600K is the sweet spot for gaming for single GPU performance.

If you are looking for a SLI/Crossfire build the 5820K is the way to go. Because it has x28 for its max number of PCI-E Lanes versus x16 PCI-E lanes for quad core i7 and i5.

If you want 3 to 4 GPUs then go with the 5960X with x40 PCI-E lanes.

I just realized my i7-3820 has 40 PCI-E lanes. That's awesome!!!

http://ark.intel.com/products/63698

For each M.2 you need an additional 4 PCI-E lanes. Using 3x video cards and 2 M.2 cards.

Here are your slots.

x16 - 780Ti

x8 - 780 Ti

x8 - 780 Ti

4x - M.2

4x - M.2

This is 40 PCI-E lanes in use.

Make sure if you buy an M.2 card that you are not bottle necking your video card(s)
