In addition to the rotation change, I also made change to the gameplay.

 

On larger, more open maps, you will no longer be able to defrost your team mate from across the map.  This will make it more challenging, will require more player movement on the larger maps, and in some cases, not draw out some maps.

 

Was playing with the distances this morning with @@Hunter and @@Astronomer, thank you guys, to make it so not too close or too far so I hope what is set works for both a challenging change while still maintaining a good time.

nothing wrong with a challenge so keep mixing it up! If you could delete some of those impenetrable leaves on some maps that would be great as well.

I like the change of the not being able to defrost from across large maps, a change is always good!

I like it! It forces people to move in larger maps making it more fun and somewhat more difficult to play, rather than camping back and thawing from clear across the map.

mixed feelings as more difficult to thaw folks and increases ones exposure seemingly to be the thawer....(new word)

its fine on huge maps not to thaw acroos map  its the smaller maps  is issue    

 

 

is it really freeze tag  when you can ice someone across the map but not thaw them @ same distance as killer

Hearing a lot of griping about it and I must admit I don't care much for it either. There is always a problem getting folks to thaw and now that it is harder there is even less effort resulting in players being frozen for long periods which in turn causes them to leave. It also causes players to stay in thawing range of their spawn. Not the intended result I know but there it is.

I'd have to side with Skuz on this...

we OFTEN have to remind people "Watch your thaws" .. and now it seems like more and more are NOT thawing because of this..

 

I like the idea of it, and it seems that it would help ... but it hasn't played out that way..

 

 

maybe shorter time limit would speed things up?

As the change did not result in what was originally intended, I have changed the thaw distance to the previous setting.
