The Nagging maybe a symptom of a larger problem.

Does she believe She is the most important thing to you?

If She does not believe that, the Nagging is already on "Auto-Pilot" and will be very tough to shut down.

If She  believes that She comes second  the behavior maybe a direct result of that feeling.

You need to make sure She knows how important she is to you if this is the case, and if She is not that important to you, it's you who may have the issues.

Sorry Ladies, it's Genetic how Men and Women handle insecurity issues differently...

Most Men will come out and just say it, Women are more Passive Aggressive and Nagging is a manifestation of it...

Hey DiggyDoc,you picked her and she picked you, nothing we can do,you just have to deal with her and she with you.Or you have Goofloops' suggestion which I really don't like, better to use the LastColdBeers Idea.Smile and say "yes dear"

Yup, sounds like She nagged you  to get you mad, so she can blame you for conflicts and then rationalize not having self control to not cheat...

Sorry Man, that sucks.

I've been with my Mrs 9 yrs this year. Usually housework is the annoyance between us. Especially with 2 kids.

What I can suggest is that you alternate chores weekly, and once or twice a month you do her portion as well. For example if one of you washes the dishes and the other dries and puts them away...then you do that whole portion. Or maybe even do the laundry one day.

It pretty much stopped nagging here, because as a mum she does a lot anyway. Plus it makes her feel more appreciated which may manifest in a reward for you in other ways. My issue is that when I tidy up I'm a clean freak so I'll make an area spotless (wash, clean, wipe, dust, vacuum and such) and I get annoyed when it gets messy so I nag[emoji38]

Best advice I can share after three marriages and over 25 years with my present wife is "whatever you say, dear"

No more nagging after that

"weasel out of doing chores"

That's the issue, try doing some chores.  Doing a couple of things proactively works even better.  I have been married 23 years, btw.

Man, don't weasel out of the chores or you'll have bigger problems then that.  My wife does most of the cooking, laundry, and dishes, bathroom cleaning, etc but I or the kids do help.  I usually vacuum the carpets, clean kitty litter box, take care of the finances, all the household repairs and maintenance, but we share chores in between.  Point is, if she feels she is doing it all and not getting your support, it will feel like no end, then sorry to say dude, you will get nagged.  If you don't want the nagging, help out, even just doing the little things will make the difference.

Welcome to marriage.  If you start driving down the wrong side of the two way street, you will get run down.

Good luck.

Been married for over 35 years..36 this August 30. I love her still to this day.

Take these several comment the way you wish.

You can be right all the time or you can be happy, your choice.

As already said it is really not much sacrifice to be proactive on the chores and sharing of duties. Ladies love it when they DON'T have to nag. Your relationship will blossom and flourish when both of you have common goals. The house, money, children etc.

If you love your wife, respect her, complement her you both will be winners. You can disagree we all do.

You will find if you do something with out being asked your wife will likely give you twice in return. I think that is a woman's nurturing part.

You both will reap rewards by spending time alone with each other (date night) it might only be an hour in the evening just to discuss your feelings and listen to her's.

Don't for get to say you love her.

Well said Weed.  35 years, wow.  Only coming up on 8 this June (2nd go) but I agree.  Funny you mentioned this above weed cause our kids will see she is doing the dishes and they'll ask if she needs help.  I always tell them, don't ask, just do, it will mean more.

How times have changed when it comes to marriage.  Maybe a lot more complicated as life becomes more complicated perhaps.  My wife's grandfather just passed away last month but not before celebrating their 72nd anniversary!

I'm going on 25 years with my wife....still havin' a blast....and now the kids are grown its like being on parole...no joke...!

I think the best advice is try to stay friends...

My wife is my best friend....that doesn't mean she doesn't nag at times...but if we look in the mirror we're not princes either....

So what I mean is that if your are BFF's you can put up with the nonsense, like we all do for our lifelong friends...not much they cant do and your still pals right??

Same with your girl...if your pals its all good...

But if your not then it can get bumpy....so clean your mancave, load the dishwasher and take her to the casino for the night or down the shore or wherever it is you both love doing...lifes work my friend...so get to work....

PS: I must say that our only child (daughter) and her wonderful husband gave life to a most amazing daughter/granddaughter. This little Miss Truly Anna has been a gift from God. Her birth has given clarity to everything that is good and wonderful in this many times crazy world.

Men and women are suppose to be an unconditional team! Some day I hope to be half the person my wife is.

Man I'm glad she can't see this lol.

I don't believe in marriage. I believe in girlfriends. A lot cheaper to exchange. Once the bitching starts I'm out! Sorry, can't help.
