Only problem I've had with Win 10 is Windows update is a huge COCK.

You can't turn it off and you can't tell it when to download updates (yes it does download updates while your trying to play games) and you can't tell it what updates you want and what you don't want. You have no control over how windows update operates.

Other than that 1 HUGE problem it works really good.

That is not strictly true. But they sure made it much harder. Group policy will do it, assuming you have the version that has it. Otherwise you could turn off the service and then turn it back on again when you want to check. There is also a tool they provide that allows you to opt-out of stuff I believe.  I assume they figure most home users are too stupid to keep their systems updated regularly so they removed the easy way to change things or turn them off. Thing is... they are right. Unfortunately that means the rest of us that do know what we are doing get to suffer along with them. Which bugs me. Its the 'lowest common denominator' syndrome.

Running Windows 10 and CoD4 no problems at all. If you want some control over Windows update, get Windows 10 pro. The only thing I hate about Windows 10 is the sound - anything other than onboard audio is problems in Windows 10. Most times the driver will not load with Windows 10 fast boot and if you do get a dedicated card to work the next update will probably nock it out.If your running onboard sound you should have no problems.

I have Win 10 Pro 64.

Ya it's not just the sound card problems. It also has trouble with Logitech Gaming Software and a bunch of other crap.Even if you set it to start with a delay in startup it still refuses to load automatically.

I'm still running the Upgrade.Haven't reformatted and done a clean install of Win 10 yet and I don't think I will be any time soon.If I have to reformat I'm going to put Win 7 Pro 64 back on.To much bullshit in Win 10 that we have no control over.Win 8 and 8.1 was a fucking joke.

I have Win10 Pro x64. I had windows 7 and I wanted to do a clean install rather than doing the upgrade from within windows (I dont trust Microsoft with a clean upgrade). I contacted Microsoft helpdesk inquiring if I could use a Windows 10 ISO and use Windows 7 key (or maybe trade in windows 7 key for a windows 10 key) and the answer was no.

So I tried downloading windows 10 ISO and tried it any way (by booting into the windows 10 setup) using Windows 7 Key and it worked. Formatted my HDD and a clean install. No issues whatsoever. I would rate Windows 10 higher than Windows 7 in day to day use.

If your PC has a UEFI BIOS (most laptops with Windows 8 and above), the BIOS saves the key and the Windows 10 setup is smart enough to get the key from there and it wouldn't prompt the user for the key. Still, I would recommend noting down the key before the start of the setup. Another good thing is that in DVD Boot mode, the setup asks for key upfront so you know if the key is accepted or not. I am not sure though if there could be issues with the activation later. I haven't run into any issues.

All above is based on my experience with 4 PC installs of Windows 10 in different configs. Good luck @@LaRSin and let me know if I can help with anything.

As of the Windows 10 November update, (1511), you can now do a clean install and use your Windows 7 or 8.1 key to activate. Ive done this 5 times so far and has worked every time. It will not work though with a volume licence.

Windows 10 is fine man. U need to stop listen to people that says oh well i don't to it yet because they need to fix the bugs fist etc etc etc that is such bs. If Windows was not good or perfect they would not have released it for the hole world.

Yes, there is allways update's needed, but hey if you buy a navigation system in your car, u need to update that to right when they build new roads... So, Install it try it out, u will see u got nothing to worrie about.

Make sure you download the latest version of Windows 10 if your doing a clean install and using your Windows 7 key. If it's not version 1511 or newer it won't work.

Had this issue with the wife's laptop.  Tried all the "fixes" recommended by MS to no avail.  Ended up using a backup I made With True Image to get it back.  Then went and downloaded all the updates and all was good.  Guess something in one of the updates didn't go in clean the first time, but did after I did the restore.
