Make the MW2 server a little more challenging

First off, if you cannot hold a discussion, don't bother saying anything at all.
(Hint: anything off-topic / insults / anyone who is too weak-minded to control their emotions and have a logical discussion about something they disagree with, don't belong here.)

 

Explosives - grenades / RPG / C4 and even mines are fine, they deal a lot of damage but they're not that easy to use, that's why so little people use them. On the other hand, pretty much everyone uses SMAW / grenade launcher, in vanilla CoD4, the grenade launchers aren't nearly as powerful and it's hard to kill someone who has the flak jacket perk with them, but in the mod, you just look at the general area and if the enemy is within a 10 feet radius, they're dead doesn't matter what perks you have, not only that, but the GL has 3 rounds. SMAW is even easier to hit with.

Also, it'd be nice if explosives were blocked from using at the first 15 seconds of a round, to prevent the grenade spam.

 

 

Guns - most of the guns in the mod are fully-auto while not having any compromise on accuracy or damage, the Saritch for example, is almost as accurate as the M16 which is burst fire and much weaker, even sub-machine guns are easy to kill with at long range and in close range you just hold mouse1 until your enemy is dead. 

 

 

 

And no, the game is not realistic in any way, it never was and it shouldn't be, that's no fun.

I'm not sure if you are numerically challenged, but 1+1=2 and that is how many rounds the SkillCannon starts with, of course I only need 1 to kill you.

The mod has the flak jacket. Not godlike protection but very good. Even if two in a row depending on distance. Yes someone tried to get me with a couple of really close tubes today. Sowee better luck next time. Someone still got me in the end with a rifle anyways but thats because of my own lack of skill. The tubes here are *exactly* the same as the stock ones. The only real operational difference is the reload time and ads. But that is balanced by the longer time it takes to switch from your primary to the launcher and back again. Not the 1/2 second or so for the under-barrel. The GL has two rounds when you spawn. However scavenger might play a role in that. If not, let me know how you get three of them so I can check it out.

 

The smaw is highly accurate and fast but its effective radius is 1/2 of an RPG (just as in the stock games with them).  So you choose between accuracy/speed or blast size. The 308 is made to be highly accurate for those that aim with it. Hip fire, not so much compared to others depending on range. However the hit icon does make things too easy in general. A couple SMGs, noteably the P90 and Uzi, have been considered to be too accurate at range by nearly everybody since 2007. Neither is changed here.

 

Anyways, there were discussions in-game this afternoon. Which is the wrong place for it. And I suggested things be asked here. Everyone has the right to either comment or to ignore. However noam, please edit your post with the large blue text so you arent yelling at everybody. Just as a matter of politeness.

Sammy, everything you say is in theory, in the actual game, you still get easily killed by everything pretty easily and I've tried the flak jacket for a few maps, didn't help at all, when I got hit by an explosive, I died. It's really not much of a compromise to have a smaller radius but being able to always hit close enough. I'm not sure whether the tubes deal more damage than in vanilla CoD4 or if you just have less health, but it's not a one hit kill like it is in the mod, that's why barely anyone uses it. 

 

And the large blue text isn't yelling, just for people who don't bother reading what's not in their face and are incapable of saying anything useful.

 

BTW, I'm far from being the only one who wished tubes didn't exist, but instead of doing anything, everyone just starts to use it.

In 'vanilla' cod4 health is 100. Here it's 30.  Wearing the jacket all explosive damage... regardless of source... is reduced down *to* %25. So 100 damage becomes 25. Considering the max damage of most explosives is 256 (more for frags but much less for tubes) close explosions are still going to kill you with 30 health depending on obstructions and range. Just as you die if shot in the foot.  Which is kind of silly. Foot shots should not be on par with head shots. But health amount is another topic of discussion.

 

Smaller font was better.
