Fuck off turk or I'll knife your ass again Knifing works fine.Hit boxes get all fucked up on moving targets,especially when bunny hopping around like damn kangaroo.Seems like people with lower pings suffer with this the most.Higher ping players seem to have a huge advantage in knifing do to the way the game deals with latency. I have specialized in knives on this game for several years. I was the leader on the leader board for several of those yrs. I say this because over the yrs I have experienced a variety of things that have affected the knifing ability. First we will start with the game and mod it self. If you are in freeze tag then ignore all of this. If you play on the Ace Mod then this is some of the things I learned. In the Ace Mod the pistol you play with can have a huge impact on how dependable your knife is when you swing. The 1911 always worked better for me. When I used either the gold or silver eagles I missed a ton more. Sure you are faster but for some reason some players cannot use those two pistols if they want to knife. Some can tho. Not sure why but it is what it is. Next is the pc itself and the equipment you use to play the game. I for instance have had to buy 5 or 6 different mice to finally find one that was durable enough for me that it didn't start missing after a couple months or so. I tried various brands and models but have for the time being settled on a Logitech G602. It's both wireless and does not use the Logitech programming to play it. I love that about it. Then you may have to scan for any kind of virus or spyware as either will affect how you play. If it's the server you will have to ask the admin of the server you play on. So you can be lined up perfect for a knife and hit v, the person moves before you are at the peak of your lunge, so you miss. I have the same issue with shooting people sometimes.... they can be sat in a corner and I empty a clip into them, they then turn into a car and blow me up. It's why I get so frustrated with this game that I don't play that much now. Insurgency seems to have almost no latency issues. If you have someone in your sights and you shoot, you tend to hit them 99% of the time, regardless of ping difference and if they are running, you only have to account for bullet travel, COD4 you have to account for bullet travel and ping difference.
