Decided Upon Group Events to be updated when decided upon

Nightmares Fear Factory Haunted House!! https://www.nightmaresfearfactory.com/tickets

I have an email into them to inquire about group discounts, they offer a discount for groups of 15 or more, Think we can get atleast 15 idiots to scare the panties off? I think we can! Check it out and PLEASE toss in a quick reply if you or your family members may be interested

Adventure Room (Escape Room) http://adventurerooms.ca/real_life_escape_games/

This I am going to need a FOR SURE count of people of there is interest. it is $23 a head with groups of 14 or more. If we have more than 18 people they suggest a tournement mode for bragging rights. The maximum for anytime is 24 players, If we have more we will have to book 2 time slots, This one is important to get booked if people are interested! Check the website and let me know please. This is about a 10-15 minute drive from the Hotel area

Niagara Go Karts!! https://www.gokartsniagara.com/tickets/

We dont NEED to book  ahead but it is smarter to as they have over 40 cars they say but if more than 10 people booking there is a discount. This is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel area

Hornblower/ Maid Of the Mist Boat Tour https://www.niagaracruises.com/tour-options

If there is interest of 20 or more people they do a Group Rate, if not then it is just a go and do type thing. Its about a 20 minute boat ride right down in the river close to the base of the falls. I have been on it and if you have never done it it is a staple tourist thing to do. There are many different packages you can get with a tour behind the falls and everything. May be more of an individual family time thing if not enough interest

Casinos

There are 2 Casinos in the Niagara area. One right downtown by Clifton hill about a 5 minute walk from the main XI hotel. and the newer one up the hill, 30 minute walk or if i remember correctly they have a shuttle you can get a cheap day pass to go back and forth from the 2 casinos, I will look into it a bit more on my days off. I know both have a fairly cheap and actually not too bad buffet, not lobster and steak, but sustainable food that aint gonna kill ya LOL. Remember though, ALL CASINOS HOTELS BUILDINGS HELL EVEN PHONE BOOTHS ARE SMOKE FREE THIS SIDE OF THE BORDER!!!

I have booked the flights so will definitely be there, arriving in Toronto on the 8th September and departing on the 19th.

I plan on travelling for a few days before - probably up to Montreal and perhaps further up to Nova Scotia. If anyone has any suggestions then I would love to hear them, I have the five days before the fest and then perhaps one or two after (depending when things wrap up).

Haven't booked where I am staying yet but will try and get that sorted once I have a better idea of my schedule.

Well you definately HAVE to visit Québec city if you go in Montréal. It's around 3 hours drive only and you'll feel like being in France :)

People here are just super nice too !! lol

I would have to whole heartedly agree. I love Quebec City and visit as often a step I can.

We're looking at spending a couple of nights in Montreal after the Fest.  Are they friendly to English speaking tourists who only know really basic French? :ermm:

@@Bosun Yes Montreal is English Friendly. I have lived here my whole life. But the City is a very tourist friendly city you will hear about some incidents but they are rare.

Old Montreal is great, the old Port. Mont Royal plus more and more.

Definately ! In Montréal it's now almost half-half compared to Québec city where it's French everywhere. You will have no problem at all !

They're friendly too, just not as much as in Québec city ;)

But, really, if you two go in Montréal, just drive 2 and a half hours more to spend at least 2 days here. It would be a pleasure to give you some spots to not miss. People are even nicer than in Montréal and the city is more beautiful and clean (sorry people from there !! lol) . I could give guys some hotel links to not go for the most expansive ones like the Château Frontenac, even if it's really nice :) And in Québec city, we're used to tourist and English is not a problem at all either. We're very welcoming !
