Should all be working now. Wasnt reading custom configs and only doing defaults.

 

So....

 

If people DO want to have a mayhem rotation with only rockets and tubes figure out a weapon rotation so it doesnt end too quickly. Also pick out good larger maps to try out.

What is this mayhem rotation, first I'm reading about it? Everyone seems mostly happy with it the way it is, the consensus was that the respawn should be shortened which seems to have happened (thanks), apart from that...don't see any calls for major changes. Maybe I have missed something  :unknw:

The operative words being 'special match'. So to be proactive there is no need to say anything like 'screwing things up' or insist that such things are not allowed. :thumbup:

The update for 5/5 seconds works and is definitely a improvement! Thanks Sammy.

 

I think the regular crossbow needs to go. It's a giant bottleneck on the chain of guns. I wouldn't mind more guns, because you can never have too many guns. But once the first person gets past crossbow, it becomes a landslide after that.

This must be a different thread, can't find mention of it in here.

 

Was just worried gun game was going to be radically changed just as it got started. I most certainly won't insist that something is not allowed out the blue.

Ok maybe it was the other one asking for ideas about temp matches.

 

I agree the crossbow is tough to use since its reload time is so long. Certainly makes things interesting tho. Maybe somewhere use the wa2000 in its place.

In case you dont know, knife kills dont increase your gun progression. :devil:

Yeh putting it near the end makes more sense I think, given the difficulty. Although I think I would prefer if it was subbed for a sniper.

The feedback I've been hearing about the server is the respawn times are great now, but a lot of rumblings about the crossbow.......thanks for making it another fun server, Sammy :)

Can you Reverse the gun rotation and add 1 more gun per class?

 

Reversing the gun rotation will help to give people that join mid game a chance to actually advance instead of getting stuck on a damn pistol when everyone else is on heavy machine guns.

 

Adding 1 more gun per class will make it last a bit longer.They way it is now rounds don't last very long.

 

 

Reverse Gun Game gun rotation is as follows.MG,Assault,SMG,Sniper,Pistol,nade and knife.  If you were to add C4 in as the last one it would be more challenging and pretty darn fun.

 

 

 

I used to play Counter Strike Source (CSS) Turbo Reverse Gun Game.It was a very very popular mod.Almost as popular as Freezetag.Get it setup good and I bet the server will be full 24/7 lol.

Please REMOVE the damn Crossbow.I can't make it past the damn thing.Keep going back to the damn pistol over and over and over again.6 tries to make it past it on that last map.Missed so many time I ran out of ammo.

I'll remove the crossbow today. Maybe somewhere add the wa2000 later in the rotation since its scoped but also fast firing.

 

As for a reverse order, might even be more interesting to make it a random order decided when the match starts. Everybody gets the same order but you never know whats next. Might be a machine gun. Might be a colt. The last one is always the knife however.

I dont see any issues here but as always keep an eye out and tell me if something isnt working properly. In that same category I could add the .50 since it also is a pretty unique weapon as well.

Much better without that damn thing lol.

 

Randomizing the gun rotation will help a bit with people joining mid game but reversing the gun rotation will give them more of a chance to catch up to the leaders.It would definitely help the newer players that are now stuck on the Pistols while the others are on the MG from getting frustrated and rage quitting.it will help the server population and the overall fun of it.

 

 

Is there a flame thrower? I really want to Char-Broil Sharpe's nuts lol

 

 

 

Oh can you also do something with the nade? All you have to do is cook it and run around and get close to someone and blow yourself and them up.Even though you blow yourself up it still gives you credit for the kill and you advance to the knife.Can you make it so it penalizes you for killing yourself? I think it should knock you back 1 full rank-gun.

Nope no flame thrower in the mod. As for cooking nades and holding them that's just part of the game. They still have to get close to you and why its one level down from a knife. Yes it bugs me when that happens. :lol:

 

A reverse rotation can be tried as a temp match for a day to see how it goes. But not going to make it the typical match unless everybody knows about it and agrees to it. Not going to put up with the 'you fucked it up' bullshit because someone doesnt like it.

Tried out a randomized rotation and actually its pretty fun. Since the order changes with every map you never know whats coming next or what the final weapon is.  You might 'level up' from a pistol to a saw. Or a saw to a pistol.

I will ask a few people in teamspeak their opinions tonight, but I think it is a good idea seeing as it would make it more competitive. Either that or the reverse order.

I think it's a good idea since if you join the game late and everyone has an auto weapon you've no chance
