First of all the why we are making the change - simply the current version is no longer supported for security updates and generally it's just nice to have a revamp every so often. We have had this website for a few years now. So when will this be happening - I am hoping either the weekend of the 25th, this will be a late start on the Friday and working through the weekend - an offline page will be in place during the upgrade to provide any updates. it's a very big upgrade and the process will be split up into a few stages: The initial stage will be to do the core features (such as the forums) which will take around a day of hard downtime Then we need to get the website looking right, so the chatbox, homepage, servers, awards etc. which will be about a day of intermittent downtime Then comes a huge task of rebuilding all of the content, this is an automated process but will take approximately a week before everything looks right. Finally comes the fixing everything 'that broke' time which will be a good few years i'm sure So how about the known problems and changes: If you have a different display name to your login name then you will have to use your display name to log in once the upgrade has completed. You can expect aspects of the website not to work exactly right yet as there is still a fair amount to do. Some posts will not look right until the background processes have completed rebuilding everything. If something is majorly broken then post here.
