Ryan was a man's man. He was a decorated Marine Veteran of the Gulf War. He became a United States Capitol Police Officer after getting out of the Marine Corp. He was a K9 Officer, specializing in explosives. In short, Ryan was a stud. But he could not defeat his biggest enemy, depression and PTSD...which took him away from us, oh so young. And he will be sorely missed. Photographing his funeral is one of the hardest things I have done in a long time. I am sitting here editing photos from the ceremony and it's really hard. Thank good ness my 'Idiot' family is always there to make me smile. So thank you. Oh, and remember to always support our men in uniform (i.e. Veterans, police and firefighters)....
