Well Over a week ago I purchased this for my camp. It works great. I have been using propane for 35 years and forgot how great charcoal BBq tasted. Mmm. I was at the camp for 9 days we had steaks, burgers, and sausage on the grill awesome.

I can recommend this model for those looking for something not too expensive.

We bought one a couple of years ago because I was sick and tired of having to replace the innards of our gas grill.  I love it and don't think I'll ever go back to gas.

Well now that I arrived home I walked into the Home depot and I spy this little gem! It has cast iron grills Stainless legs, ash collector,  thermometer, a d some other nice features. I see this unbelievable price on this and I figure that can't be correct. I go home wondering what is the real price. After researching the price I head back to the store. I asked the department head "are you sure that is the correct price she said yes we found those out back in a trailer and we don't carry them anymore. lolI took it for half price WooHoo!

Mrs Weed and I just had a nice steak I cut off a beef loin I bought at Costco. Dang nice!

went back to charcoal 7 years ago and haven't regretted it..... I use a Weber with an ash collector and temp. gauge .....Love it and its simple and cooks great.

If you like to slow cook at low temps or indirect heat I suggest you get a hot box to heat your charcoal so you can add additional coals (grey) to your grill without introducing more flames and higher temps.

GRILL ON !!!

the weber with the ash collector would be the one I would have bought for the house but the Napoleon with the cast grills and the fact that it was half price made the deal for me. I will say I like the way Weber scrapes the ash from the bowl on the original Weber Kettle.

When I was young I had an Idea what a hot box was but now that I'm 60 I'm curious what a hot box is for my BBQ?

Holy Mack, @WeednFeed, you want I should send you a P.M. to describe for you what a "hot box" is?

Surely you can't be that old . . .

LMAO.

Ayaq

P.S. - Just you don't throw a tantrum at me like someone else did recently for not explaining something, a "hot box(@Streetcleaner's context, not mine)" is a separate metal container where you can pre-heat additional charcoal so you'll always have some ready coals handy when the first ones started dying down.

Whoo-hoo:  "Hot box!!!!"

Lol.

I love cooking with charcoal.  Got myself and nice weber and does fantastic.  Food tastes so much better.  I still use propane mostly through the week day and winter simply because of the extra time to cook over coal.

20 years ago when there was a craze of fancy stainless steel gourmet BBQ's, (and when I was making a lot more money) I paid over $2,000 for a monster gas grill. Used it a few times and was so disappointed with the lack of flavor I never used it again, and it's still sitting on my deck covered in cobwebs.

Charcoal is the only way to go.
