I live just north of Houston and this thing been dumping water for for a day and will for a few more apparently.  Even worse to the south side of Houston.   14 inches in less than 12 hours for me so far.  Southside has had 24 plus since midnight.  Can usually jump across this creek.  That's a horse ranch underwater.  10 feet over flood stage and rising.

Brother's in SE Houston (LaPorte) and he's been spared the flooding. But he has a more serious problem. He's out of bacon and can't get to any stores to get any.

Yes don't get scammed today we had a meeting at work witch we do every Tuesday but this was different normally its a safety meet but we have a lot of family and friends in the Houston area we talked about that. The General contractor called Austin had a donation box go around witch got $5000 and company I work for matched it so you got $10,000 coming from us not much but I'm sure anything helps. Hope all is well still haven't herd from my friend Ling called and text no response.

No. Standard homeowners policies don't cover flooding unless it's caused by a broken pipe or leaky roof. You have to have flood insurance through FEMA and most don't have it. They're screwed.
