What notebook are you using? What is the specs of it? What version of windows is it running?

It may just need some replacement parts or software updates or drivers etc etc.

People can't help you if they don't know what you have.

Try a fast hit on your power button. Don't hold your finger on it just press it quickly.

Remove the AC adapter and main battery. Plug just the AC in and press the button. If it still won't power on it can't be a software issue, it must either be hardware or firmware.

If it turns on check in your advanced power settings (control panel > hardware and sounds > power options) to see what the power button action is set to?  See if it is set to "Do Nothing" maybe that needs to be changed back to sleep or another setting. If it is set to "Do Nothing" at the moment, could be why there is no response.

It could also be something wrong with the power switch board.

If nothing works take it to someone who knows how to check a notebook properly.

This is the website to download the manual: http://www.medion.com/gb/service/_lightbox/handbuch.php?msn=30019705&prod=MEDION ERAZER X7843 (MD 99557) UK

If you get it turned on if you have older drivers than Dec 26, 2015  I suggest installing these: http://www.notebook-driver.com/tag/erazer-x7843/

Laptops are very nice to use but I would never use one for gaming or other things that cause excessive heat.
