Are those Alco engines? We use to have engines like that on the 210' Coast Guard Cutter I was on in Florida.

@2_MANY_BEERS, as far as I know, EMD manufactures engines for locomotives,  the engines I have pictured are EMD for an SD-40 locomotive.  GE also manufactures engines for locomotives.  These are 3000 horsepower.

Retired BNSF Engineer. They were both good locos, though the GEs were a pain to start on the earlier version if memory serves me right., :hope:

The GE AC4400 are a pain in the ass, somehow dirt or debris gets into the air ducts of the phase modules and cause them to go bad! GE needs to modify the problem.

No Cats or MTUs in the fleet? I happen to love ALCOs myself, there’s an abandoned S1 switcher up the road from me. Can’t beat a 567 Detroit for the sound. :cheers:
