Put a few rounds through her tonight, works real good. Having a blurry old eyes looking through the scope moment. I'll have to take the time to adjust the scope to my old worn out eyes this weekend time permitting.

I just had it out once at the range. My dad has been having bad health over the last 6 months. in the last month he just started feeling a bit better. He will be 86 in August, he suffers from Congestive heart failure and kidney failure. the both are related. He has 20% kidney function on a good day and less on the bad days. the Dr's have been taking good care of him. he lost about 25 pounds of fluid and is feeling way better as you can imagine.

Sorry for the long winded post. I will be mostly plinking with it. When I was younger I shot tons of rabbits with a 22. My Grandmother always had me shoot them for rabbit pies.

I'm 61 and have been collecting guns, fishing gear, reloading gear, hunting gear etc. I just hope I can retire to start enjoying all this stuff. lol.

Very nice bull barrel on that one!

I'm interested in the 10/22, most likely the Takedown version that comes with the flash hider and the backpack.

I have 2 Ruger 10/22s there the shiznit. My baby is a stainless steel model with this Sick stock. https://www.eabco.net/Tapco-Intrafuse-1022-Stock--Fits-Ruger-1022-Factory-Barrel_p_13714.html  Looks alot like a Mini 14 :)  My other ruger 10/22 is just a plain jane cheapo from wallmart.  I'm saving up to get this bad mother for it. https://www.eabco.net/Ruger-1022-Bullpup-Stock--Military-Grade-Polymer_p_14246.html

Stay away from the BX-25 magazines. They are complete garbage. I bought 2 and neither one will feed a full clip without either just jamming up or double feeding. You don't want to stove pipe a rim fire round lol. Your better off buying 1/2 a dozen of those el-cheapo polymer 30 round single stack mags. I have 4 cheap 30 round mags and they work just fine.

The RCMP made the BX-25s prohibited devices overnight in Canada. Happened sometimes last year, due to a technicality, as the Ruger "charger" pistol can take the BX-25. As all pistols mags in Canada have to hold a max of 10 rounds (like California I believe), then booom PROHIB....

As for 10/22 stocks, what do you think of this:

Been working a shut down at the refinery where I work. Working 6 days a week 12 or 13 hours per day. No time for shooting or hunting. I’m 61 and trying to putas much into my retirement money as I can. We had a major explosion on Our Canadian Thanksgiving. It’s a miracle no line was killed!  I moved my semi-retirement up one year

Indeed. Awesome that no one got killed. I spent some time in Saint-John, spent a summer building houses for Habitat for Humanity, even bought a car there when I was stationed in Gagtown...i sympathize with you guys!
